Xander POV
The way she was giggling by looking at my picture made my wolf and me so happy that I was not able to control myself so I reached her so swiftly yet silently, you can say its one of the perks of being a werewolf. When I reached her I inhaled her sweet yet toxic scent which was a mix of lavender and jasmine and dear people this has become my favourite scent to which I'm addicted now. I went near her ears and said "If you want to laugh than you can, don't stop yourself" , she instantly stiffened her back cause of my closeness to her and due to this closeness I was able to hear her erratic heartbeats but she soon controlled her feelings and took a deep breath inhaling my scent which made my wolf purred in admiration. It was soon replied with a distance and a request to leave which made me pained and before I could even respond she flew, like she was not there seconds ago.
Me and my wolf Adrian were left alone in my office surrounded by the deafening silence but I managed to handle it due to the photograph which was on my table yup guys I had her pic in which she was grinning from ear to ear and while I was looking at it I realised that why is she running from me, I mean ladies throw themselves at me but why is she ignoring me. Suddenly Adrian roared at me "stop thinking rubbish and she is not other girl who throw them at you she is your mate how many fucking times do I have to tell you?" I flinched at that cause he rarely use that tone with me. "she is just considering herself not worthy for you as per my opinion" he said calmly to which I laughed cause she was perfect why would she think like that soon there was a knock on my door revealing non other than one person whom I least want to see. (Guys Guess yup you are right)
Me "Beatrice you" I said in ignoring tone
Beatrice "thank you for inviting me with so much love" in sarcastic way but I ignored again.
Me "What do you want?"
Beatrice "Why do you think that I want something?"
Me "cause you never reach anybody without any benefit or you can say reason" to which she became angry but soon replaced it with a fake smile.
She started walking towards me and I knew what she was going to do next so I mind-linked Lexi "I want you to be in my office right now" as Beatrice sat on my lap without my permission and started unbuttoning my shirt with her hand ignoring my protest Lexi came running to my office alarmed and I felt sorry for that cause I told her in such a tone that she might have thought that I was in a trouble which I was but not danger one. Soon Lexi's gaze fall on Beatrice so she hastily make an excuse of urgent meeting to be held with the clients so I stood up which made Beatrice fall from my lap to the ground with a loud thud which made me and Lexi laugh but we stopped so she got up and marched towards the door but not before giving Lexi a murderous glare and slammed the door so hard that it made the painting shift from their original place. I was going to say something to Lexi but she cut me off before,
Lexi "My apologies sir but I want to say something" to which I raised my brow cause Lexi is my friend from childhood and she ever have to ask for my permission to say something so,
Me "What"
Lexi "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT" she roared at me while pointing at the door and I was mute.
Lexi "Next time when it happens please use some word which can make me understand about THAT situation. We realy need a world, How about "BITCH ON THE LOSE"?"
Me "She is going to be your luna, respect her"
Lexi "Respect is earned not forcefully given and secondly she is not your mate so how can she be our LUNA"
Me "My father has chosen her for me"
Lexi " so what happens when your mate comes? What will you do then?" she taunted me which reached my brain like a great blow cause she was right so I raised my eyes to ask her something just to get her opinion if she liked her than everyone will cause in my whole pack Lexi the most picky one and the hardest one to please and I wonder sometimes about her mate "POOR GUY" how and what things he has to do to please her.
Me " Lexi what do you think about the lady whom you dropped her at my office door?"
Lexi "Whom That lady Evaline. O she was such a lovely ,sweet and cute lady. The way she was looking around, observing and talking to me I really liked it. She is just like a cute Teddy Bear whom I would really like around me and she is the only one whom I can say has simplicity and purity which I sensed from her. Why are you asking me?"
Me "nothing and I just asked a small question to which you have given me such a elaborative answer of which there was no need. Now go back to your work and don't waste time." To which she wined cause she never waste time during her work and I giggled which made her also laugh after which she went to her desk.
