Chapter 12

Evy POV

I was feeling emptiness inside when that wolf ran away from me and I don't know why? So I went inside the house through the way I came outside. During night I was restless my chest was paining as if someone was stabbing me and it was hurting awfully. In the morning I woke up and stomach was paining and burning to which I realised women problem I cursed myself how could I forget about my date. In the morning I got ready for the office and I was not feeling well and to top it I was having big bags under my eyes, yup girls I was looking like a zombie on a move but with a slight change that I was alive.

I went to the office only to be faced by two witches and their tantrums. "We got Zombie Apocalypse" Roxanne shouted and I was seconds away hitting that bitch on the face but as usual Felicity came to me and before embracing me in a hug she said in a sarcastic way "My dear Roxanne I can't see you in a hospital bed right now so control yourself" to which I have to suppress my laugh. We went inside, the moment we entered the office she swiftly turned me and asked in a worried and concerned voice "Are you alright Evy? Is something wrong?" to which I told her about my women problem but I didn't tell her about my chest pain. She went out to grab a cup of coffee for me but Brian brought it and when he entered he screamed "you look fuckingly horrible today. Damn girl whats up?" I was already dealing with the pain and emotional mood swings and after listening his comment I almost wanted to cry ,the tears were almost ready to fall from my eyes but at the same time Brian came close to me and gave me his handkerchief but that was the breaking point of my waterworks, it started so Brian rubbed my back and started telling me jokes cause he knew me that making me laugh is the best way to divert my mind from whatever thing which is bugging me. It has been hours since Brian has left my office and I have been indulging myself in my work but still I was not able to do the work with my whole heart so I went to Admonds office just to check whether he has some work for me or not, otherwise I will ask him for day off.

I knocked the door he told me to enter and the moment I entered I asked him if he wants something from me, he looked at me with a guilty emotion but I ignored it. He said " Evy I know you are not feeling well but I want you to do something for me and its kind of important for me. If I didn't have this damn meeting than I would be doing it on my own." To which I replied "its OK Admond, you never asked me anything like this so I'm OK, I'll do it, there is no problem in it and well I kind of need a little break from my work." I said the later part in a little low volume but he heard it and started laughing but allowed me to take a day off after his work is done. When I came out from the office I did a happy dance in my mind and I was wearing a big smile on my face as I realised that I can reach home early and spend some time with my "C" (my little sis, if you remember).

I soon reached the addresswhich Admond has given before telling me to give the files personally to Mr.Summers and when I entered the office I was so mesmerised cause the interiorwas so elegant yet simple but it radiated the aura of power and authority. Iwas so lost in admiring the interior that the receptionist shook me by myshoulders to bring me back to reality. She was looking at me with amusement andI was so embarrassed that my cheeks were red and all of a sudden she startedlaughing and then said "its OK dear, it happens. Even I had the same expressionwhen I entered for the first time." To which I replied "I am sorry. By the wayI'm here to hand over the files to Mr. Summers. I'm from Mr. Hugh Company" shesaid "O yes, we have been expecting you. You must be Evaline Winters". Then shedialled some number and said "Mr. Summers, Ms. Winters have come." After alittle pause she said "OK, I'll send her to your office" while we were on ourway I felt so silly of me and realised that I didn't ask her name so I askedher " Excuse me, May I know your name? Please." to which she replied "O sorry Ididn't introduce myself,I am Alexia but people call me Lexi" and with that I reachedmy destination so she told me to enter the office and left. I knocked the doorfor the permission to enter which i got so I closed the door and moved when myeyes laid on the man standing behind the desk I thought I have seen himsomewhere and as I was trying hard to remember I was also admiring hispersonality and body but the moment he said "Like what you see" everything camecrashing down the party, then our meeting and I was like "WHAT THE F###".
