Chapter 27

Evy POV

I woke up to my consciousness and found out that I was still in the bathroom and don't know for how long so I got but regretted it cause the pain in my ankle reminded me of the incident which happened and I started crying. Yes I know what you all are thinking but I will tell you all the truth I only act that I am strong but I'm not, I can't stand for myself. In situations like this my insecurities take over my body leaving me paralysed, not able to think what I should do so I let the people do whatever they want to do with me. Suddenly my phone buzzed which told me that I have been in this bathroom for four hours and its time to go back. Then again my phone buzzed and flashing Xanders name on it, then it struck me what will I tell him?, I can't go out like this and let the people see how weak I'm, I can't let Xander see me like this, I can't so I did one thing which was right at that moment, I took a deep breath and controlled my emotions and voice.

"Hello Xander"

"Evaline where are you? I have been trying to find you in whole office but you are not there. Where the hell are you?" I said in my heart please come to the washroom to find me but I lied

"I'm so sorry Xander I had an emergency so went to home and sorry I didn't inform you. Please forgive me this time"

"its ok, no problem but do inform me next time." With that I ended the call and waited till the time the whole office was empty and it was time when the guard close the doors. I came out of the bathroom very slowly as trying not to walk on my injured leg and it was about time the guard was closing the door so I shouted "Help Please" and he heard my voice cause he was running in my direction and the moment he saw me "what happened to you miss? Are you ok" "yes I'm, can you please call the cab for me so that I can reach my home" with that I tried to walk but failed and fell on the ground with a loud thump so the guard said "Miss it may sound weird but I assure that my intentions are positive, please let me carry you out otherwise it will hurt more." So I nodded and he picked me up in bridal style and took me to the cab.

After settling me in the cab he told the cab driver to be careful while driving and not to cause and kind of problem to me to which I was very thankful so I said "thank you for your help... " and I trailed as I didn't know his name "Bruno, pleasure is all mine that I was helpful for you Miss Evaline" I was shocked as he knew my name "you know my name" it came kind of question rather than a statement "when a person in this office is kind and helpful for others I tend to know them as they are very few and you are one of them" I smiled at the complement he gave me so I thanked him again and went on my way realising that if some bad stuff happens with me god at the same time do a little good thing for me and in this case he sent Bruno for my help as my brother was not there this time.

When I reached home everyone was busy doing there work so I sneaked to my room before anyone could see me but situation was not in my favour as my sis and bro were sitting in my room as if they were waiting for me and when there eyes fall on me both of them jumped from the bed to support me.

"sis what happened" Cy shouted to which I glared at her which shushed her than my brother carried me to my bed and kept staring me so I literally huffed and told them everything.

"I'm going to kill those bitches" Cy said but Shawn was quite so I told Cy to bring water for me and when she left I looked towards him so that I could find why was he silent.

"Sis, is it still paining a lot" I nodded so he took my leg to check the damage, "why are you not saying anything" "what do you want me to say cause as far as I know is that I want to kill the CEO of that company who employ these kind of people in his company" I told him "Shawn, Mr Summers doesn't know about this as I have not told him" he look towards me and said "I do care for you but sis its high time that you stand for yourself now otherwise there will be a moment when there will be no one to stand for you and I don't want that day to come" and with that I started crying cause he was right so he hugged me tight comforting me as always then there was bang and Cy was standing with glass of water in hand "hey you guyz forgot me" said while pouting to which me and Shawn rolled our eyes together but we motioned her to join our hug. Cy said what should we say to Mummy and Papa what happened "tell them I twisted my leg and fell hitting my cheek on the floor" both of them nodded and went down stairs but before closing the door Shawn turned and send a flying kiss toward me while saying "good night my strong sister" I caught his kiss in my hand and put it on my head and with a smile I slept as the medicine was kicking in.
