Starting Line

Chapter 11

Kacchan P.O.V.

I stood with Deku outside of school. We had no idea what to do. How would we even tell people we were dating? 

"Maybe we should just go on with our day not worrying about hiding our relationship? Maybe people will figure it out from there?" Deku offered. I nodded. Just walking in and yelling, WE'RE DATING!  Probably wouldn't work out too well.

We both walked inside school together. When we opened the door we got a few side glances. Probably because I wasn't glaring t Deku. I looked over and saw Ochako trying not to smile. Deku must've told her.

 I watched as he walked over to her and Iida. I just sat down and waited for class to start. I sat through our classes after class had started.

At lunchtime though I did something different. I walked over and sat down next to Deku. Ochako gave me a glance while Iida stared. "What?" I snapped at him. 

"Um... nothing." he quickly replied. I saw some other stares. Todoroki also looked. I gave him a glare back. He raised his eyebrows. I smirked, he must've realized why Deku rejected him. Lunch soon ended and we headed back to class. I walked right alongside Deku.

When we reached the classroom everyone was staring. Ochako was holding in giggles; she couldn't help it with all of the stares I guess. Iida was extremely confused. Soon though Denki walked up to me.

"I'm just going to eliminate the elephant in the room," I stared at him, so did everyone else, "Why are you acting so differently towards Izuku?" I looked at Deku. He just gave a shrug and a small smile. So I answered.

"Because me and Deku are going out." I plainly said. The classroom fell silent.

"WHAT?!" yelled almost everyone.

"Wait how?!" yelled Denki.

"Are you that stupid?" I asked. He just stared. Deku answered though.

"Well I liked Kacchan, he like me. We went out a few times. So now we're like... um... boyfriends I guess?" he said and gave an awkward smile.

"Okay then." he said. Then he looked down. 

"What?!" I yelled.

"It's just, um..." he muttered.

"Yes?"

"You and Izuku?!" Yelled out Ashido. Everyone muttered a quiet yeah.

"That's what I said!" yelled out Ochako. Everyone was surprised. There were a few, you knew's. She just nodded.

"Opposites attract I guess." said Deku. I smiled. Some people agreed with that. I was fine with that explanation too.

Then Aizawa-sensei walked in, "Get it together, kids date, now get to work."

I smiled at Deku and he smiled back. I was a bit weird the rest of the day though. Kids asking questions about us every other second. But it felt good. We weren't a secret. 

The day ended though. Questions finally stopped. I walked home with Deku, hand in hand. I felt as if a giant weight had been lifted from my shoulders. No more secrets. No more pretending to hate each other. No more making sure no students were there when we went out. 

It felt great to be with Deku. Officially now.
