Chapter 40

Deku P.O.V.

I groaned as I walked up to the entrance of UA. Even though I like this school that didn't mean I wanted to be here. I looked around at the other people at the school, none of them look like they wanted to be here. They seemed to only be happy to see their friends.

I look around for my friends. I soon saw Uraraka jogging over to me with Iida following.  

"Hey!" I yelled out as they came up to me. They both greeted me.

"How was break?" Iida asked.

"Good." I said plainly. 

"Iida go away." Uraraka said. Iida stopped.

"What?" he asked.

"Leave! I have to talk about girl stuff with Deku." she said. 

"He's a boy." Iida said.

"He's close enough now go!" she spat. Iida looked confused but turned around and began walking into school. Uraraka then turned to me.

"What was that for?" I ask her. She then turns to me smiling, "What?"

"Did anything happen the rest of break?" she asked. 

"N-not really." I said quietly.

"Lies!" she said hitting my shoulder, "N-n-nothing happened?" she mimicked. 

"A bit more than usual..." I said quietly.

"YOU NASTY! Did Kacchan defile my innocent friend?" she said.

"Did I what?" 

We both turn around to see Kacchan standing there.

"Did you de-" I cover Uraraka's mouth before she could get out -file. Kacchan just raises an eyebrow and looks at me.

"Nothing." I said with a small smile. Kacchan just rolls his eyes and walks over to me. Putting his arm around my shoulder and pulling me from Kacchan. As we walk away I turn my head and see Uraraka making gestures I didn't think someone should make, in public too. 

I just quietly laugh and walk.

"What was that about?" Kacchan asks before we walk in.

"Just Uraraka being herself." I said. Kacchan just laughs and keeps walking. We then both go into the classroom and we go to our seat. 

Everybody was talking about what they did over break, I just stayed quiet. Trying to ignore Uraraka who was staring at me.

Luckily Aizawa-sensei walked in quickly and everybody quieted down. I sat through the classes, slowly getting back into the school mood. Before I knew it lunch had began. Then we had our training classes. Soon school was over. 

I then began walking out of school. I managed to get away from Uraraka who wanted all the 'details'. I caught up to Kacchan who was walking out. 

"Hey," Kacchan said when I came up next to him. 

"Want to do anything?" I ask him.

"Want to go your place?" he suggested. I nodded. We then began walking to my home. We arrived and set our bags by the door. Taking our shoes off also. We then just walk to my room. When we get in and take of our uniform's jacket. 

We lay them on my bed and then head into the living room. We both just lay down on the couch. Kacchan just wrapped his arm around me and I leaned against him. We then turned the television on.

Luckily it was the first day back so we had no homework. We just watched the shows. My mother had started working later shifts so she wasn't home. 

"Wanna go get food?" I ask Kacchan around five. 

"Sure." he said, "Wanna go out?" 

"Sure, where?" I ask. 

"There's a nice diner near here." he said.

"Okay."

With that we headed out to dinner. Kacchan brought his bag and jacket so he could head home right afterwards. Kacchan then lead the way to this diner. 

"I went here once with Kirishima." Kacchan explained, I look at him, "We were studying for an exam." he explained. I nodded. It must've been before we dated. We then went into the diner. Right away a waitress comes up to us and we take our orders.

"Crap." I said realizing, "I forgot my wallet." I look up at Kacchan.

"It's fine I can handle it." Kacchan said. I smile at him.

"Thank you, I'll pay next time." I tell him.

"It'll be fine Deku. I'm capable of paying." he said.

"You can't just pay for everything." I say. He smiles.

"Okay." 

I smile back at him.
