Starting Line

Chapter 16

Kacchan P.O.V.

It was 6:25 p.m. I was hiding in the bars of the construction. I've been here since morning. I've been waiting. Soon I see a semi-truck pull up to clearing I was watching. It had the construction site logo on it. At first I thought it was workers bringing more construction stuff. Until I saw a man clothed in shadow walk out of the front seat.

Then man went to the back and pulled out a person.

I then realized who it was. My fists tightened as I looked at the cuffs on Deku's hands and wrists. He said something to Deku. Deku must've said something; and the man kicked his side. I almost ran out there. But I stayed still. My knuckles turning white from holding onto the bar.

5 minutes later I saw All Might appear. The shadow man tossed Deku to the side. I silently climbed down so I could hear.

"Finally." the shadow man said.

"Just give me the kid and we can part peacefully." All Might said.

"Um... no thank you." the man said, practically shaking with excitement.

He raised his arms and soon the shadows of everything were forming. They soon formed some sort of monster. It rammed into All Might from the ground. Knocking him over. It kept hitting him. He jumped up onto the rafters. But the shadows followed him. 

They kept hitting All Might over and over again. He couldn't get away. He could only jump in the midair. But he couldn't stay in midair forever. Each time he landed no matter how quick he was the shadows hit him. 

The man just stood their laughing. He seemed to love messing with All Might. I looked away from the fight to Deku. He was laying on his side. I didn't know what to do.

I stared. Should I go get Deku? Or save All Might?

I then jumped up. I punched the shadow man in the head. He collapsed to the ground knocked out. The shadows then departed. All Might stopped jumping and ran over to the man. He quickly grabbed the man and threw him in the truck Deku was brought in. Locking the doors.

I run over to Deku faster than I've ever ran. I untighten the bag from Deku's head and throw it to the ground. Deku looks up at me. Tears in his eyes. I pull him into a tight hug. Deku and I both start to cry.

We later learned that the man was a huge All Might fan and had been stalking him. He found out Deku had ties to All Might (Kacchan doesn't know about One for All). So he kidnapped Deku. He told All Might he kept Deku for so long to make him more desperate.

It had been two days since we found Deku. It's been hectic with his mother and friends smothering him. We were finally alone since I had rescued Deku.

We were at my house alone. We were sitting on my couch. Deku was sitting on my lap. I had my arms around him.

"Kacchan, you're holding on a little tight." Deku said laughing.

"I'm just scared that if I let go I won't get you back." I whisper into his shoulder. He leans back and gives me a kiss on the forehead. 

"I'm not going to leave you again anytime soon." he told me. He pushed our noses together. I laughed for the first time since Deku was kidnapped. He looked back smiling.

I moved my hand from his back to the back of his head. I pushed his head forward and give him a kiss. It was a deep kiss. I could immediately feel the empty hole being filled up again.

Deku soon pulled away, "Sorry but I need air to live." he said laughing. 

"I missed you so much." I tell him. Staring into his eyes.

"I missed you too." he said quietly. 

"I felt so alone without you." I told him. I felt my eyes start to burn. I'm not going to cry. I'm not going to cry. I'm crying.

"Kacchan?! Are you alright." Deku said grabbing the sides of my face.

I moved both of my hands to the back of his head, "I'm just so happy you're back, Deku." I told him. Smiling through my tears. I saw Deku starting to cry.

"Why are you crying?" these tears didn't look like joy. He looked worried.

"I was just so scared I wasn't going to see you again." he cried, his voice cracking halfway through the sentence.  I pull him in for a hug. I rub his back. He cries into my shoulder. I just hold him. The picture looked horrible. 

Soon his crying stopped. He looked up from my shoulder. His eyes all red and puffy. I give him a quick kiss.

"You're looking at me right now. I'm not going anywhere." I tell him. Giving him an encouraging smile. He smiles back and hugs me. 

I felt so happy, Deku was back. We just sat there hugging and cuddling for the rest of the day. Happy to be back in each others arms again.
