Never Give Up

WAKE UP CALL

Lucy felt gloomy when she learned that Gray and Yukino made up after the incident. Gray also went with Yukino after school which added to her frustrations.

Lucy didn't follow the two, which she usually does. She doesn't seem to have the energy to do it. Instead, she took the bus with Erza and the rest of the gang.

The gang were raucous as usual on the bus. You can see Natsu fooling around, shaking his butt in front of Gajeel. Gajeel would get pissed and would whacked him in the head. The two would end up throwing insults at each other, but would be stopped by Erza. The others would just laugh at the two's silliness.

Lucy was just quiet that whole time. She just stared outside the window looking depressed. She was not paying any attention to them, that's why she was startled when Natsu suddenly asked her a question.

"What do you say, Luce?" Natsu said while grinning.

Lucy stared blankly at him. "Huh?"

"I told you, bunny girl, is not listening." Gajeel said.

Lucy glared at him. "I told you to stop calling me that."

Gajeel just smirked at her. Levy elbowed him in the stomach which wiped off his smirk.

"We were discussing about our plans tomorrow, Luce. We are torn between jogging and swimming. So, Natsu is asking you which one do you prefer to do?" Levy explained.

"Oh, I think that sounds great." Lucy said without enthusiasm.

"Which one?" Cana asked.

Lucy looked puzzled again. "What do you mean, which one?"

"Which one do you prefer, swimming or jogging?"

"Well...I don't know...they both sounds good to me." She said.

"You only have to choose one. We can't do both activities at the same time." Bisca chimed in.

Lucy sighed. "It doesn't matter. I'm not planning to go anyway."

Everyone groaned.

"Come on, Luce. It won't be fun without you." Natsu said as he sits beside her, poking her in the rib.

Lucy swatted his hand and stared at the window. "I don't feel like going tomorrow."

Natsu frowned and looked at the others for help.

"We'll call Gray to join us tomorrow." Bisca offered.

Lucy's face suddenly lit up, but then faltered when she remembered something. "I'm sure he would take Yukino with him tomorrow." She said as she sulked back on her seat.

"Would it be so bad if he brings Yukino with him." Erza said casually. "They're dating after all."

Everyone gaped at Erza as if she had grown two heads.

"Well, I don't want to see them together." Lucy said childishly.

"There's no point avoiding them tomorrow, when you're still gonna see them together at school." Erza reasoned out. "Just don't let their dating status dampen your mood. We are also going to be there after all." She added.

Everyone held their breaths as they waited for Lucy's reaction.

Lucy sighed. "You're right." Everyone breathe a sigh of relief. "After all they're not officially together yet."

This made everyone groaned and went back to their seats.

"That's not what I ---" Erza was cut off when Mira tug on her shirt. She was seated beside Erza.
