MORNING JOG

"They're late!" Erza exclaimed, making everyone around her nervous.

"Relax! They're probably on their way here." Mira said, trying to calm her down.

"Lucy gave her word that they'd be here in 15 minutes, but 30 minutes has passed and still no sign of them." Erza ranted.

"Lucy is definitely screwed." Bisca whispered to Alzack.

"No, they're both screwed." He replied.

"I think bunny girl got lucky." Gajeel whispered to Levy.

"What do you mean 'got lucky'?" Levy asked.

Gajeel gave him a meaningful look. "You know..." He wiggled his brows.

Levy went bright red and elbowed him in the rib. "That's not funny! And, Lucy is not that kind of person."

Gajeel raised his brow. "What about Gray?"

"Well, Gray would never take advantage of Lucy. And besides, he's already dating Yukino."

"Pfft! That's just for show." Gajeel said. "I'll bet a thousand jewels that his got the hots for Lucy."

Levy's eyes grew wide. "Are you suggesting that Gray is just using Yukino?"

"I don't know, but I'm pretty sure he's attracted to Lucy." He said with certainty.

"Did Gray tell you that?"

"He didn't have to. It's written all over his face." Gajeel said.

"Then care to explain why he's always pissed with Lucy?" Levy asked.

"Defense mechanism, babe! He's just being mean to hide his true feelings for her." Gajeel said smartly.

Levy gaped at him. "Since when did you become an expert with someone's feelings?"

"Since I started dating you." Gajeel said while pinching the tip of her nose.

Levy giggled.

"What are you two discussing about?" Erza snapped.

"Nothing!" They both said while shaking their heads.

Erza stared at them with suspicion, then turned her gaze back to the street.

Gajeel and Levy breathe a sigh of relief.

"Enough with your theories. You'll get us both in trouble." Levy whispered to Gajeel. He zipped his mouth and grinned at her.

"Look! They're here!" Max exclaimed while pointing at Lucy and Gray, who appeared to be running towards them.

Gray and Lucy were both panting when they reached them. They had their hands on their knees.

"Why did you start without us?" Natsu whined. "I thought we were supposed to run together."

The two glared at Natsu.

"You're an idiot, did you know that?" Gray barked at Natsu.

"Eherm!" Erza cleared her throat.

Lucy and Gray both gulped when they heard Erza's voice. They slowly turned their heads to her. She was looking at them sternly. "You're late!"

"Sorry!" They both blurted out.

Erza was looking at Lucy. "You promised me that you'd be here in 15minutes."

"I know and I'm sorry. I didn't know that I'd have a hard time waking him up." Lucy said. "He sleeps like a log."

Erza turned her gaze at Gray. "And YOU! Why is your phone dead?"
