Never Give Up

SORRY

"It's none of my business. I don't care if they go on a date or not. And I don't care if she is no longer upset about yesterday. And I don't care if she doesn't like me anymore." Gray thought as he smoke on the rooftop of the school.

He was the only person there so he has no fear that someone would catch him smoking.

"She can kiss Sting for all I care!" Gray thought as he puff. 

He went and stood at the railing and look at the grounds. He was searching. 

He didn't want to admit it but he was curious if Warren's statement was true. 

"And I am not checking if they are really here or not. I mean if I saw them that's not my fault because I'm just standing here looking at the grounds. It's not like I did it on purpose. I came here to smoke not to spy on them." He thought trying to convince himself.

"I'll just stare at the trees and no one will be th--" 

Sting suddenly appeared running while laughing. He seems to be teasing someone. Then, Lucy appeared chasing him. She looks annoyed and was yelling something at him. Gray could barely hear what they were saying because of the distance. 

Finally, Sting stopped running and was waiting for Lucy to reach him. When she got closer and just a few feet away, he raised the bag that he was holding above his head and grinned at Lucy. 

Gray recognized the pink bag (even from a distance) to be Lucy's. She was trying to grab it, but Sting kept raising it higher. She looks so annoyed as Sting move in circles. Suddenly, while attempting to reach again her eyes move in his direction.

Their eyes meet which made Lucy stop what she was doing and him dropping his cigarette. They were both frozen from their spots. Sting got curious so he turn around and look in the direction Lucy was staring.

Sting finally understood what made her stop and he didn't like it. He shouted and called Gray's name which startled Lucy. He waved at him but Gray didn't return it.

When Lucy got back to her senses, she saw that Sting lowered her bag. While he was still distracted, she grabbed her bag and pushed Sting hard (which caused the latter to fall on his butt) then ran away. Sting laughed hard when he realized what just happened. He stood up while still laughing and ran after Lucy.

When Gray can no longer see them, he looked up in the sky and mumbled, "Who am I kidding?"

Lucy ran straight to the classroom with Sting following behind. He was still laughing like an idiot.

"What are you still doing here?" Lucy said as she sat on her chair.

Sting grinned at her. "I'm keeping you company."

Lucy rolled her eyes. "You are really starting to annoy me."

Sting sat in Bisca's seat which is in front of Lucy's. He moved it closer to Lucy.

Lucy blushed. "Must you be so close?"

"Yeah. I like seeing your cheeks turn red."

"Argh! It's because of anger, okay?"

"If you say so."

"You know what? I like it when you were silent before. You are less annoying that way."

"But, we're no longer eating and I'm not saying anything that is forbidden to talk about."

Lucy glared at him. "You're still annoying."

Sting just grinned at her.

"Hey! What's up, Sting?" Natsu greeted them as he entered the classroom. He went and high-fived Sting.
