FREE FALL
Your lips say one thing,
While your eyes say another,
The break still leaves a little twinge,
Were we meant to be together?
"It's good that your done," they say,
A chapter closed in my life,
But did they know he had this way,
Of making things alright?
In spite the trouble that we had,
He was there for me through and through,
He found a way to make me laugh,
His intentions good and true.
"But, no," they as clear as day,
"He's the one that made you cry,"
But he wiped the tears away,
Kissed them all good bye.
The love still swells in my chest,
When we cross each other's path,
A broken smile is all that's left,
Our eyes then meet at last.
The green pools scream you miss me,
But your words, they let me go,
My hands shake with the desperate need,
To touch your skin, set it aglow.
The break was a mistake,
Don't let me go again,
This was the path that we had to take,
To find a new way to begin.
Take my hand and follow me,
As we make this free fall,
Together we'll forever be,
Love can conquer all.
