MIRROR, MIRROR

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,

Was it right for me me to fall?

'Cause in the end I lost it all,

No longer walking, on my knees I crawl.

-

Mirror, mirror, where's my head,

It's lost rolling back from the road up ahead,

Sensitive to words left unsaid,

Without it I'll be surly dead.

-

Mirror, mirror, what's that sound,

Can it be this heart that pounds?

It's buried deep within the ground,

It's labeled "reject lost and found".

-

Mirror, mirror, is that a tear,

Trailing down my cheek right here?

These six months turned into a year,

Will I ever conquer this fear?

-

Mirror, mirror, there's change in that gaze,

Eyes no longer appear in a daze,

Not lowered but finally raised,

Confidence brimming and burning in a blaze.

-

Mirror, mirror, what's with this smile,

Stretching out for miles and miles,

My path seems very versatile,

Life is now looking worthwhile.

-

Mirror, mirror, it doesn't hurt,

Doesn't bleed, no more dirt,

Skews my view, I'm now alert,

The bend in my spine I reassert.

-

Mirror, mirror, it's time to go,

I'm finally happy, now I know,

No one can make me feel below,

Their own two feet and suffer in woe.
