LET ME SAVE YOU
"Let me save you!" I scream to the mirror,
The distorted image of us doesn't get clearer,
"Keep your faith, hope is so much nearer,
Than you think, so eat something, you've gotten much thinner."
-
"Let me save you!" I cry as I wipe the blood,
"Don't be stupid, anyways the razor's a dud,
We have many things we should be proud of,"
But what was once a rose reverted to a wilting flower bud.
-
"Let me save you," I whisper at the pills,
"Put them down, it's not just a thrill,"
Our friends faces sends us a small chill,
Do we really truly, have the will?
-
It's over now so I brush off the dusty shelf,
Holding it in my hand leaves me overwhelmed,
The image in the mirror is clear and softly smiles to herself,
"How can you save me when you can't save yourself?"
