Chapter 7:Queen For A Day
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Andromeda's P.O.V.*
"Morning, ladies." Vic greeted Anastasia and I, nodding to us. I nodded back and gave him a small smile, still trying not to pass out. I had to help Ana to her seat so she wouldn't fall on the floor from shock that our idols were our music teachers.
"Good morning, class. My name is Victor, but you can call me Mr. Fuentes or Vic for short." Vic gestured to Kellin to go next. "Morning, class. My name is Kellin, but you can call me Mr. Quinn or just Kellin." They took role and I barely said anything when they said my name. "Okay, today we are going to try something new. Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens come in here." Vic said. Tony, Mike, Jaime, Gabe, Justin, Jesse, and Jack walked in the door. I looked and saw Anastasia trying not to fangirl. "Okay guys. Here is the role. Pick one name off of it and if your name is called come stand beside the person who called you." Kellin handed the role to Jesse. He called Fallon so Fallon went up. Next was Jack. He called on a girl named Sarah so she went up. Gabe and Justin called some people up so now it was Tony's turn.
"Andromeda White." I slowly got up from my seat and went over to Tony in turtle speed. "Aww look! Tony now has a mini turtle." Jaime said, taking the role and booping my nose. I blushed and tried to hide my face along with Tony. Tony slung his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into his side. He was just so fucking tall. "Let me see." Jaime hummed, running his finger up and down the role, looking. "How about Anastasia Sage?" I smiled when Anastasia eagerly went over to Jaime. Mike called Samuel so he went up and we stood beside each other. "Okay, are y'all all familiar with our bands?" Kellin asked. Surprisingly, everyone that was chosen nodded. "Okay, who plays any guitar?" I slowly raised my hand.
Tony smiled and handed me a black acoustic guitar. "It's already tuned." He informed, I nodded. "Okay Andromeda-" I cut Vic off, "Please, call me Andie." He nodded and continues, "Andie, play the acoustic part of Bulls In The Bronx." I sat in a chair and began to play. Mike and Jaime began dancing in a Spanish way making me smile. I finished and handed the guitar to Tony. He took it and set it down before returning his arm to my shoulder, "Nice job, Baby Turtle." I looked up at him, "Is that my new nickname?" Tony smiled and nodded. He got a sharpie and wrote something in my hand, "I know this may seem weird, but I promise I am not a pervert. That's my phone number. Call me anytime you want to talk or hang out. I see something in your eyes, Andie. Something different. I trust you with this. Now, please don't give to anyone who might spread it around." I nodded and closed my fist before hugging Tony. "Thanks." He nodded and patted my head, "Your welcome, Baby Turtle."
Sadly, the bell rang and we had to leave Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens in the classroom. I looked at my hand and saw the black ink stained on it in numbers. I smiled and shoved my hand into my pocket before going to my locker. I grabbed my spirals I needed and went to Art. I love Art. My teacher, Miss Jaming, thought I had real potential and that I would become a famous artist one day. I was happy because Miss Jaming was one of the only people who believed in me.
I entered her classroom and sat in my normal seat on the left. Miss Jaming smiled at me before handing me my painting. It was the bottom half of two people, a woman and a man, in a lake, their faces and top halves unseen. (Also known as the cover for Lying Is Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off.) I added some more definition to the water and the girls' floating dress. "I think your finished, Miss White." Miss Jaming said from behind me. I handed my canvas to her and grabbed another one. I dipped my paintbrush in black paint and began to let the images in my mind take over.
I dipped my dark paintbrush into the navy blue paint, mixing the black and blue together. I applied it to my creation and let the stokes of the paintbrush do all the work. Time passed by and soon a sing bell screamed, indicating someone was leaving. "Miss Jaming?" The person on the microphone asked, "Yes?" Miss Jaming asked/answered, "Could you please send down Andromeda White, and Chandler Riggs to the attendance office? They are both leaving." I guess Lauren was picking us all up. "Sure. They'll be right down." Miss Jaming took both of our paintings and let us pack everything up. I looked at my painting and saw I drew the Cheshire Cat talking to Alice.
I got my Chesire Cat bag and went with Chandler. I put my binder in my locker and grabbed my skateboard before going into the front office. Norman, Steven, Emily, and Lauren all waited in there for us. "Ready to go dress and tuxedo shopping?" Lauren asked, a big grin on her face. Chandler and I both groaned. I was going with Chandler because, obviously, he was the only guy my age. We both groaned, obviously not wanting to go. "Okay, boys in one car and girls in the other." Lauren said as we walked out of the building. The boys went over to Norman's truck while Emily, Lauren, and I went over to Lauren's cherry red Camaro. Emily set down the seat so I could get in and then got in. Lauren started the car and we were off to the mall.
As we walked into the mall, Lauren started calling off everything we had to do, "Okay, we need to buy you a dress, get you some high heels, maybe a small purse or wallet, get your nails done, try on some make-up, and get your hair done for the show tomorrow since you will be skipping school." I groaned again, "I don't want tooooo." I dragged to 'o'. They both dragged me to the dress shop and began throwing dresses on top of me. "Go try those on." Emily pushed me into the dressing room. I stripped down and slipped on a sparkily red dress. It was strapless and went down to my calves. I walked out, my Vans showing. Emily and Lauren shook their heads and shooed me back into the dressing room.
I changed into five other dresses before I finally found one I liked. It was black and went down to about mid-thigh and was sleeveless. The fabric stopped right above my breasts, but to cover the chest and the back was black lace. The waist of the dress had buttons going down, having a Victorian look to it that I loved. I walked out just as Norman, Steven, and Chandler came back. All three of three of their jaws were on the floor along with Lauren's and Emily's. "We are sooo getting you that dress." Lauren said. Chandler smiled and kissed my cheek, whispering, "You are the most beautiful girl ever, babe." before going off with Norman and Steven. I went in the dressing room, took off the dress, put my clothes back on, and walked to the girls. We payed for the dress and went to the shoe store.
"Okay, I am picking my shoes." I said and began looking. I knew they were both going to make me wear heels so I began looking and found the perfect pair to match my dress. I wanted to look gothic so I picked a pair of lacey black peep-toe heels. The parts were my ankle and the curve of my foot were visable through the lace, otherwise the rest was just fabric. I tried on the heels and began walking around in them. Amazingly, I didn't trip and fall on my face, but I was close. Emily and Lauren both said I was a natural at heel walking along. We bought the heels and went to Claire's to find me some accessories to go with my dress and heels.
Lauren and Emily ended up buying me a black heart necklace, a black rose two-fingered ring, an anklet, and a small hand bag with a chain strap. We went to the nail salon to get my nails down. The lady painted my fingernails black that slowly faded to silver that slowly faded to white. She also put black hearts or roses on the end of my nails to give it some design. That took about thirty minutes, but we had enough time and a lot more stuff to do. After my nails dried, we went to the beauty department. "We are just going to buy you some make-up." Emily said, making a b-line to the black eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, and lipstick. They bought me some black eyeshadow, two tubes of mascara and eyeliner, (liquid and pencil) some black lipstick, and some dark lip gloss.
Last, but not fucking least........ the hair salon. Oh, Mother Jesus. The salon ladies curled my hair and added some black streaks to my blue hair to get the goth look going on. I, basically, looked like a blue tiger. The very tips of my hair and bangs were black and slightly silverish to match my nails. When we finished, it was eleven o'clock at fucking night. "Let's crash at a hotel." Lauren said, starting her car. I groaned in agreement and flopped down in the backseat.
The boys met up with us at the hotel and Norman ended up piggyback riding me into the lobby. I fell asleep on his back so they just carried me to our room (Emily, Lauren, and I) and just dumped me on one of the couches where I stayed all night.
