Chapter 40:And If The Birds Would Just Tell The Words
*Andromeda's P.O.V.*
I woke up with my head buried into the carpet and a pounding headache. Everything from last night came flooding back to me, causing me to jump up, but sit back down because of my headache. I slowly got up, peeking into Mayhem's crib. Tears stung my eyes when I saw that she wasn't there, only the mangled sheets of when the intruder grabbed her and her pacifier. "Oh, my baby." I whispered, picking up a picture of her asleep in Spencer's arms.
Then I remembered, what about Spencer? Walking out of the nursery, I went into the living room. "Spencer?" I asked, walking over to the couch. Nothing was there except for a dried puddle of blood right beside where Spencer was sitting. I covered my mouth, my hands shaking violently. A trail of smeared blood was at the base of the couch, leading out of the living room, through the kitchen, and out the front door.
Running into the kitchen, I grabbed the land-line, dialing 9-1-1. "Hello, miss. What is your emergency?" The operator asked. "My husband and baby are missing. I saw my daughter get taken last night, but I was drugged and then knocked out." I said, my eyes filling with tears. "I will have an officer at your house to question you. What is your name and address?" She asked. "Andromeda Smith and 1624 Avenue H." I answered. "Okay, ma'am. Please wait." I hung up and put my head in my hands. What the fuck?
I quickly punched in Chandler's number. "Hello?" I sighed when I heard his voice. "Chandler, it's me, Andie. Spencer and May were taken last night. I can't remember who did it, but they're gone." I cried into the phone. "Oh my God. Okay, I'll be over in two minutes. Just wait there." He hung up and I sank to the floor, tears streaming down my face.
Just as he said, Chandler burst into the house along with two other guys. He saw me, running over and kneeling in front of me. I threw myself at him, hugging him. "She took them. Spencer and Mayhem. She took them." I sobbed, Chandler rubbing my back. "Who? Andie, who? Who took them?" Chandler asked, cupping my face. "I can't remember. She was so familiar. I just can't remember." I sniffled. "Hey, Chan! Is that blood?" A tan-skinned guy asked. He was one of the two guys that came in with him.
"Jason, can you comfort her?" Chandler asked the other guy. He had sandy blond hair and light stubble. He nodded and sat down on the floor beside me, letting me lean into him. "Yeah, Bran, it is." Chandler answered. "It's Spencer's." I sniffled, making all of them turn to me. "Last night, Spencer was sitting there when I went to go put May to bed." Jason wrapped his tattooed arm around my shoulders and hugged me. "Fuck." Chandler sighed just a knock was heard at the door.
Chandler went to get it while Jason helped me up from the floor. The dark-skinned guy, who I recognized as Brandon Calvillo came and hugged me. "Oh my god. Your Brandon Calvillo from Vine." He laughed and hugged me. "Andie, he wants to question you." I walked away from Jason and Brandon and went to the door. "Mrs. Smith, right?" I nodded and stood beside Chandler. "Okay, I'm going to ask you some questions and I need you to answer them truthfully." I nodded once more and waited for him to begin.
"Okay, first. Can you run me through everything that happened." I nodded, "Um, Spencer, my husband, and I had some friends over. Some left early, so it left six of us. One volunteered to go get something to eat and everybody else went with him except Spencer and I. I went to go put our daughter to bed when someone came up behind me. I thought it was Spencer, but it wasn't. They put a cloth over my nose and mouth so I couldn't really breath. They then hit me in the back of my head and took our baby. The last thing that they said was 'She's mine and Spencer's baby now.'. I woke up this morning and saw blood on the couch where my husband was sitting and then it leads out here." I explained.
The officer nodded, writing some things down. "This is now a crime scene, ma'am. Pack a few things and please leave." Chandler rubbed my back as a few tears fell. Going upstairs, I packed some clothes, a toothbrush, tooth paste, and a hair brush. I grabbed my phone and charger before walking to the stairs. I paused when I pasted the bedside table. Looking at the picture, tears weld up in my eyes. It was Spencer and I holding Mayhem together, both of our wedding rings showing. Take out the picture, I put it in my bag before going downstairs.
We all walked outside, going to their car. "Wait, where am I gonna stay?" I asked. The guys talked, guessing, but soon out ruling the choices. "What about Matt? It's just him and his huge house." Brandon suggested. "Are you sure? I don't even know him." I asked. "It's fine, babe. He has people over all the time." Jason and Brandon got in their car whilst Chandler and I got in my car, Chandler driving. We drove about an hour before pulling up to a big house.
Grabbing my bag, I followed the guys through the gate. Brandon knocked at the door, but then just walked inside. "Matt!" Jason yelled. "Jason!" Another guy exclaimed, giving him a hand shake. "Yo, this is Andie. Her husband and baby got abducted last night and she has no place to go." By now his face showed sadness. "She needs a place to stay." The guy, Matt, came and towered over me. "You can stay as long as you like." He said, giving me a pure white smile.
"Manon!" A girl around my age came running down the stairs. She was a bit taller than me with long brown hair and matching eyes. "Can you show Andie to the guest room and take her bag?" The girl, Manon, took my bag with a big smile. She led me up the stairs, down the hall, and into a bedroom. Inside was a huge bed with a walk in closet, bathroom, and balcony. "Thanks, Manon." I said, giving her a sad smile. "So, how do you know Chandler?" She asked. "We dated when we were teenagers." I answered.
"Wow. If you were as pretty as you are now I would have never broken up with you if I was him." I laughed and smiled at her. "If you ever get a girl or guy, they're lucky that they have you." Manon smiled at me as I looked at her. I put my bag on the bed and went back down stairs with her. As I talked with Chandler, I saw Manon walk over to Matt. "Hey, I really like her. How long is she staying?" Matt smiled at him. "I don't know, but I hope a long time."
Chandler's phone rang. He said a few things before hanging up. "Andie, it's Brendon and Dallon." I perked up at their names.
"They've gone missing, too."
