*summer before senior year*
"What can I get you two?" Our waiter says. I give Charlie a look that says 'you can go first' he nods as he looks at the menu. "I'll have the cheese burger with French fries. Extra pickles." He says giving her the menu. "And what would you like?" She says turning to me. "Can i have the corn dog with carrots." I say. She smiles and takes my menu. "Coming right up." She says leaving. "What kind of order is that?" Charlie asks laughing. "Ha. I happen to enjoy the combination." I say with a smile. We sit in silence of a couple minutes. Finally he looks up at me and smiles. "I'm glad you said yes to this." I smile and nod. "Thanks for taking me."
After Charlie paid for the meal, we decided to go see the new horror movie called 'Sleep with the lights on' I think. "Yes. Can I have two tickets to 'sleep with the lights on' Please" he says walking up to the ticket booth. "That'll be $6.50." She says. They exchange the tickets and money and we head into the theater. "Do you want some popcorn?" He asks. "Medium please. Extra butter." I say. He head over to the man and gives him the order.
When we are finally in the back of the theater, the movie starts playing (commercials to of course;) I could tell Charlie was nervous. "I hope your not scared." He says. "I'm fine I'm actually worried about you." I say with a smile.
After the movie (dumb btw) we were in the parking lot. It was 10:37 p.m. "So listen I had a fun time." I say with a smile. He smiles to. Before I could say anything else he try's to kiss me. "Woah! What are you doing?" I ask backing away. "Come on." He says frustrated. What? "Just let me kiss you!!" I say trying to kiss me. "What the hell! Get away from me!" I say. "So I went on a date with you for nothing?!?" He says. Why would he say that? "What do you mean!" I ask. He rolls his eyes. "If I could kiss you I was going to be voted football captain next year." He whines. "So this was a date!" I scream. "Yay! You can walk home." He says. I feel tears form in my eyes. I thought Charlie was a nice guy? I guess people change. He gets in his car and drives away.
