Life is life, and so is Finals

After Junior and Hope's wedding, we were all ready for our last semester of the year, while they were getting ready for their final semester to get their degrees. We spent the next few weeks studying to put our first year behind us while our older siblings were gearing up to enter the actual world.

The brothers and Hunter helped keep us on track with studying, supplying us with an endless amount of caffeine while Kate made sure we all ate. Yeah, Hunter, not much of the nurturing type.

Finally, the week arrived as we all took our finals, and with the grace of God, we all passed. Pft, what am I saying? It was a slam dunk. Yeah, we are smart like that.

With that behind us and graduation next week, we cut loose and went to the swimming hole to blow off some steam. I grabbed the rope and swung, releasing, and landing on Drew. That'll teach him to break my ribs.

He grabbed me and dunked me while RJ flew off the rope, landing by us. He popped his head up and grinned at us. We looked at each other and jumped on him until a few others joined us in the form of Nik, Austin, and Matt.

The rest sat on the shoreline, soaking up some sun until Junior held up a volleyball. "Who's up for a game?"

That causes us to swim to shore. We all pair off in teams. As we all played in the sun, the girls watched from the sidelines.

"I didn't realize how built all the guys were," Gina said.

"Fuck yeah they are and look at their tats," Lydia said.

"Damn, we have some fiery men," Scarlett added.

"Ew, this is my family you are talking about," Liz said.

"Sorry, Liz, but you have a hot family," Mel said.

"Gross. Can we please talk about something else besides how hot my brothers and cousins are?" Mack asked, scrunching her nose as they all laughed.

"As much as I like to admire the hotness of my husband, I'm getting hungry," Hope said.

"Hey, boys! Baby needs feeding," Mack yelled.

That stopped all of us, and we headed over to the girls. Drew got a fire started. Nik and I cooked up food, making sure we fed Hope first. We all sat around the fire and ate, laughing and talking.

"So, what now for you guys?" RJ asked.

"Jobs. Between our parents and grandpa, they already have stuff in the works for us," Junior said.

"But not until we get back from our honeymoon," Hope said.

"Oh, definitely," Junior said, kissing her.

"What about you, Leo?" I asked.

"Well, I will intern for Marissa, but she's allowing me to stay close to Nik since she's planning on opening a boutique up here," Leo said.

"God, I love mom. Remind me to thank her when we get home," he said to Austin and Mack.

"No problem, bro," Austin said.

"So, what do you crazy people have planned now that we won't be around here?" Drew asked.

"Dismantle those damn flag poles," JJ and I said together, making everyone laugh.

"It will be weird not to all be in the same house again," Elijah said, making us realize that we would go our separate ways again.

"Yeah, but with this family, are we ever not together?" Matt asked him.

"Yeah, that is true. Plus, I can't see our parents stand by and let us go our separate ways," Elijah said to him.

"Well, whatever will happen now, I have a feeling things are about to get interesting," JJ said.
