It would had been an average evening for Keanu, had a girl not magically materialize in front him in the middle of the night at the park.
Frankly, he couldn't bring himself to comprehend the event. Who does that? How can someone just appear out of nowhere? It was like a movie, except Keanu wasn't on set. This was real!
The girl appeared out of breath and disheveled, and her choice of clothing was bizarre. Honestly, she was out of the world.
"Um, h-hello?" Keanu greets, and he wants to groan for stuttering. The girl looks up at him, and she was probably the most beautiful person he's seen in a long time.
"Hey dude, what's up?" The girl greeted, and it was so causal, as if she didn't just come out of nowhere.
"How did you do that?" Keanu questioned, daring himself to get a bit closer to the strange and gorgeous.
It was a full moon that night and it illuminated the whole park, making the girl's features more noticeable than ever. He didn't want to sound cheesy, but that moment, he was convinced love at first sight was real.
"You saw, huh? Well, how can I trust you'll keep my secret, pretty boy?" The girl questions in a sly and teasing manner, and Keanu felt himself go red.
What was she? An alien? Witch?
"I don't think anyone could believe me even if I blabber out the truth, Miss." Keanu replied, trying to wake up from the bewitching spell and compose himself.
"What if I told you I could travel time, Keanu?" The girl replies with a smirk, and it makes the teen nervous.
"You know my name?" He inquires. Keanu wants to think this chick is crazy, but he did see her appear out of nowhere. Maybe he's the crazy one, just hallucinating everything.
"What do I not know, Reeves?" The girl questions, not bothering with his question.
"How should I know, lady?" Keanu splutters out, finding the situation more freaky by the second.
"My name is [Name]. I'm on a mission." [Name] reveals, and as Keanu continues to view her, he noticed she's armed. But the weapon looks slick and high-tech, it's nothing like anything he's seen before.
"A mission? But what does that have to do with me?" Keanu asked, and [Name] rolled her eyes.
"You're so dramatic, especially with all these questions." [Name] replied.
She then added on,"Plus, the mission really doesn't have much to do with you. Well, unless you want in, that is."
Keanu was about 17 at the time [Name] had first approached him, and he was lacking the adventure he craved for. School wasn't really cutting it for him, especially after his recent expulsion.
Would it really had hurt to say: 'yes' at the time? Keanu didn't think so, "I'm in."
