THE FIRST TIME River sees you, his breath is taken away. He just couldn't comprehend how a woman so ethereal and bewitching could talk to him, let alone return his feelings.
"I love you, River." You would softly whisper into his ear, and he can't resist the shiver that goes down his spine.
But he smiles, brighter than ever, "I love you too, [Name]."
He swears you're the best thing that's happened to him, and you simply shrugged it off, denying such a statement. He wished you saw how beautiful you were–inside and out–you were perfect.
You were his whole entire world, so it killed him seeing you buried six feet underground for all entirety. When the wake had happened, he placed the engagement ring box next to you.
His world was gone somewhere better, leaving him all alone. Now life seemed ordinary without your spark and you're love, but he promised you he'd continue on with life for you.
"I still love you, [Name]." River whispers to himself, muttering a goodbye to you, and hoping one day he'll see you again.
