ROSALIE BOCA decided to take matters into her own hands, and get Devo a date. She loved the kid, he was sweet, but he needed someone his own age. So, what's a better idea than a blind date?
Of course, it took awhile for Devo to even consider the idea of another woman other than Rosalie. But Rosalie managed to get him to crack and give in, which lead Devo here, at this moment. He was in a mediterranean restaurant, which he'd never see himself walk into if Rosalie hadn't given him a raise.
Devo is dressed casually, but not casual enough were he wouldn't fit into the restaurant's fancy theme. Rosalie helped him choose an outfit, along with her mother. Both women were determine to get Devo a girlfriend—a mysterious woman he's never met.
According to Rosalie, apparently her name is [Name]. The more Devo thought about [Name], the more nervous he became. What if he didn't impress her? Oh, was he doomed be alone?
A few more moments of fidgeting with the hem of the tablecloth, a woman had appeared. She was wearing a navy blue floral dress, and her hair cascaded down to her shoulders. She was breathtaking, and for a moment, Devo felt his heart stop.
"I'm sorry for disturbing—man, this is awkward—but are you Devo Nod?" The gorgeous woman inquires, acting sheepishly.
And the moment the words left the woman's plump lips, Devo realized this might be his blind date [Name]. He didn't want to get his hopes up, but why else would she know his name?
A bit dazed by the woman's beautiful, Devo simply nodded, "Yes, I am."
The woman gives a bright smile, and suddenly, a warm feeling blooms within Devo. She was too gorgeous, and her smile seemed to illuminated the dim restaurant.
"I'm [Name]! I'm the, uh, blind date Rosalie talked about." [Name] reveals, feeling anxious. What if Devo didn't like her? The worries were unnecessary, as Devo simply felt so grateful he was stuck with such a cute date.
"Nice to meet you, [Name]." Devo greets, returning the bright smile she had. As the night passed by, Devo continue to feel himself become more infatuated with the kind girl across him.
Surprisingly, thinking about Rosalie hurts less now. It stops hurting to think about the older woman after awhile. Devo realizes after a few dates that he only wanted [Name], and luckily for him, she wanted him too.
For once, he felt content with his love life. After all, he finally got the girl.
