Đề bài: Consumers are faced with increasing number of advertisements from competing companies. What are the problems and what can be done to address them?

My essay:

In the light of the intense competition between firms, purchasers are being adversely affected by an increase in the number of advertisements from rival companies. In this essay, I am going to demonstrate that there are certain dire repercussions and they can be tackled by feasible measures from governments.

One of the foremost problems attached to the growing number of commercials is information overload. With the proliferation of advertisements for various kinds of products, consumers are likely to be confused, which can render them reluctant to make a purchase. Another negative impact is that these commercials can contribute to consumers' act of purchasing redundant products. Advertisements usually contains images and words that exaggerate the qualities of commodities. The implication of this emphasis is the wrong buying decision of the customers, resulting in an useless waste of money. For example, when customers are faced with excessive advertisements containing erroneous images and false information, they can be fooled into buying those unnecessary goods and then have to throw them away with a sense of buyer's remorse. This is a testament to the undesired effects of the increasing number of commercials.

In a bid to address the aforementioned issues, the states should adopt copious viable solutions. One of them is to levy higher taxes on publishing advertisements in the media. This step can discourage firms from posting commercials, which can lead to a decline in the number of advertisements and thus help curb information overload. The measure outlined above should be imposed in tandem with the close supervision of governments. To this end, the content of advertisements should be put under control, and all firms with imprecise information when advertising their products must be given a severe punishment. By this way, customers are more likely to be exposed to accurate details of every commodity, and thus they can purchase goods suiting their needs, not unneeded ones. Therefore, they may prevent a money misuse and find contentment when making a buying decision.

In conclusion, a proliferation of advertisements between competing corporations cause far-reaching consequences, and the proposed solutions should be taken to combat the impacts of this phenomenon.
