Hail does fall on spring's breath
And though it melts with dignified death,
You don't fade away. When clouds protrude over glassy skies,
With condemned water, they pour; they cry.
But a commodity like you makes the heavens loom grey,
Poisoning the atmosphere
With showers and monsoons of fear.Fell fellow, so you are,
Washing windows and crashing cars.
Shallow waters fill what they can,
Flooding your just sense of reason
With plots of treachery and treason. And thoughts from you bounce and explode
When launched outside their prisoned cove.
Rains of fire and skies of scars
Drenching children with beating hearts
Until every generation is soaked to the bone
With looming dread that will not leave them alone.
