The dimly lit warehouse is filled with an air of anticipation as you share a quiet moment with Count Vertigo. He pulls you closer, his fingers gently tracing your jawline before leaning down to kiss you deeply.

"You sure you're ready for this?" he murmurs against your lips, his voice a soft purr.

You smirk, brushing a hand through his hair. "Please, this is the fun part. He's coming here thinking he's going to save me."

Vertigo chuckles, pressing his forehead to yours. "You're wicked, you know that? It's why I love you."

You smile, a genuine one that only he gets to see. "I love you too. Now, let's give him the show he's expecting."

He gives you one last kiss before stepping back, letting you settle into the chair. You pretend to struggle as he ties the ropes loosely around your wrists, but in reality, your hands are free, gripping the syringe of Vertigo behind your back.

Vertigo leans down and whispers in your ear, "Don't keep me waiting too long, gorgeous."

You give him a playful wink. "Wouldn't dream of it."

Heavy footsteps echo through the warehouse as Oliver storms in, bow drawn and ready. His eyes lock on you immediately, concern and fury battling for dominance on his face.

"Let her go, Vertigo!" Oliver's voice booms, filled with his usual self-righteous anger.

The Count steps forward, a smug grin on his face. "Ah, Arrow. Always so dramatic. It's almost endearing, really."

"You're going to regret this," Oliver growls, pulling the string of his bow taut. "Release her, now."

Vertigo smirks, casting a quick glance back at you. "Why would I do that? We're just getting started." He gestures around the empty space. "This place makes a great stage, don't you think? The hero, the villain, and the poor damsel caught in between."

You let out a small, pitiful whimper, selling the act perfectly. Your heart races—not from fear, but from anticipation. You've waited for this moment.

"Your problem is with me, not her," Oliver snarls, taking a step closer. "Let her go, and I might consider letting you live."

"Oh, Oliver," Vertigo laughs, shaking his head. "You're always so self-righteous. Tell me, does it hurt to be this predictable?"

Oliver narrows his eyes, inching closer. "I'm done playing games. Hand her over."

With a theatrical sigh, Vertigo nods. "Fine. If you insist." He yanks you up from the chair, and you let out a dramatic gasp as he drags you forward. The ropes slip easily from your wrists, but Oliver doesn't seem to notice.

This is it.

Vertigo pushes you roughly toward Oliver, and as you stumble forward, you seize your chance. In one swift, fluid motion, you swing your arm around and drive the needle deep into Oliver's neck. He barely has time to react before you press down on the plunger, injecting him with the full dose of Vertigo.

"What the—" Oliver's voice falters as his vision blurs. He stumbles back, dropping his bow.

You step back, tossing the empty syringe aside with a smirk. "Oh, Oliver. You really should have seen this coming."

Vertigo bursts into laughter, pulling you into his arms. He plants a kiss on your temple. "Brilliant, love. Absolutely brilliant."

Oliver collapses to the floor, his body convulsing as the drug takes hold. He looks up at you, betrayal and confusion clouding his eyes. "Y/N... why?"

You crouch down beside him, tilting your head with a mocking smile. "Because I'm not the girl you thought I was."

Vertigo kneels beside you, his arm wrapping around your shoulders. "Say goodnight, Arrow."

You give Oliver one last look, a mixture of pity and satisfaction. "Goodnight, Oliver."

As his eyes roll back and his body goes limp, you rise to your feet, slipping your hand into Vertigo's. He squeezes it gently, pulling you into a sweet, triumphant kiss. As Oliver's body hits the ground, convulsing from the Vertigo injection, you take a deep breath. The adrenaline surges through you, but instead of running, you touch your ear, activating the comms you never bothered to remove.

"Felicity? Dig?" you say, your voice calm and collected. You know they're listening.

"Y/N? What the hell—" Diggle's voice is filled with disbelief, a mixture of shock and betrayal cutting through the static.

You glance down at Oliver, who's struggling to stay conscious. "I suppose now's the time for a confession, isn't it?"

Felicity's voice chimes in, panicked. "Y/N, what are you doing? Why are you with Vertigo? We trusted you!"

You chuckle, shaking your head. "That's the problem, Fel. You all trusted me. You never thought to question who I really was, what I wanted. You all saw the good girl, the team player. But that was never me."

Diggle's voice is sharp, like a knife to your chest. "So what, this was all a lie? You've been working with Count Vertigo the whole time?"

You feel a pang of guilt but quickly push it aside. "Not the whole time. Just long enough to know that you would never see it coming. It's not personal, John. It's business. I made my choice."

There's a moment of silence, and you can almost picture the hurt on Diggle's face. You swallow hard, turning away from Oliver's limp form as Vertigo steps back into the room, a pleased grin on his face.

"You're wasting time, gorgeous," he murmurs, wrapping an arm around your waist. "We've got bigger plans."

You nod, but before you disconnect, you address Felicity one last time. "Tell Oliver I said thanks for the dance. It was fun while it lasted."

With that, you rip out the comms piece and toss it aside, letting it clatter to the ground as you take Vertigo's hand. He pulls you into a swift, passionate kiss before leading you toward the exit.

As the two of you disappear into the shadows, you can almost hear Felicity's anguished cry echoing in the distance.
