Human touch. It's something that most look over, and it can mean a whole lot to others. Some humans just prefer to hug and be touchy feely with others, they just feel the need for it. It gives them a sort of buzz and energy; they just need other people to be affectionate towards them.

Then, there are the opposite, the people that can't stand someone touching them. It gets them agitated, tense and even unwell. I'm one of those humans. It's not that I'm cold blooded, don't get me wrong. It's just, I don't really like being touched. It actually makes me very uncomfortable. Just a simple arm around my shoulder, or hug can make me unease, I will definitely say that it does have to do with how your raised.

The people who are touchy, are often like that because their parents are. As young kids, they were brought with that being normal, and pleasant. For some, like me, it was considered unneeded. My parents were never into hugging, so naturally I'm not into it either.

"Fay sweetheart! Can you put these new tulips in the window sills?" Shelbe asks, carrying a little box of pink and yellow tulips, there's a joyful vibe that penetrates off of her, and a smile is formed on her small red lips. "I want this place to look perfect for tonight."

I nod, taking the box of flowers. Tonight is the cafe celebration party, and all of the staff is working hard to decorate and prepare a bunch of snacks and drinks for everyone. According to Shelbe, us staff have the night off to enjoy as well, since we did work hard and diligently on the commercial.

Or because Eli bugged her for the past week like a child.

Placing the little pink flowers in the window box, I look outside to see it's a bit foggy this afternoon, as a few clouds are blurring the sun. "It's probably gonna rain." A voice breaks through to my thoughts, I turn to see Eli by my side, looking out the window as well.

"It's cold outside. Will it snow?" I ask. It's a funny question, since we're only midway through September, but the thought still lingers in my mind.

"Eh, it's too early," he states, helping fix the flower beds. "We need at least another two months. I take it you haven't seen snow before?" He asks, a bit amused, now slightly looking my way.

"No, actually. I lived in California my whole life, so I'm not use to the cold," I explain.

His eyes widened. "You've never lived." He shakes his head, teasing me.

I roll my eyes, "Well, to be honest, I think I'm preferring the ocean over this so far." I finish putting the flowers in the box and walk off to the kitchen to help with whatever else. He follows behind.

"The ocean is just a giant pool with animals. Snow, however, is tranquil and ceremonious." I laugh at him, because I know he's trying to make it seem more appealing to me, by using bigger and prettier words.

"Aw, look, she's already changed him to be smarter," James states, and Jen adds an "aw" as they watch us wipe down some nearby tables.

Eli shoots James a deathly look, which only makes him laugh more. "What's wrong Eli? Don't like being exposed?"

All that Eli responds with is an '"Ugh'" and then walks towards the kitchen. Although, he didn't deny it, which makes me smile a bit.

"Why are you smiling?"
