#36 Something's 'up'side down inside me.

I've learned something today. Not all people just randomly stare at other people for no reason.
The whole time, Lucy kept her eyes in one direction. On one human. And only spoke to one person.
Eli.
The person who's been causing so much trouble for me in ways I don't understand. One minute he's irritating, and bothersome and the other he's this weirdo I just enjoy having around. I enjoy our talks and silent moments, the way he'll include me in a conversation even if I don't feel like talking. But this afternoon lunch was different. Lucy and Eli spoke nonstop about different stories from when they were kids. She would tease him about how he was so shy and quiet, and he would smile. The smile that makes me nervous, but calm at the same time.
That smile that drives me crazy. Better said.
I was irritated, disconcerted, and discombobulated. Why? I don't know. I'm furious because I can't find out why?!
People have different friends, girls and guys. That's normal. But why did it feel so different? If she was talking to Jeffery or Charles, would I have felt the same way?
During the whole lunch, I didn't really speak, which I normally wouldn't mind at all. But this time it bothered me. I just kept thinking and thinking. I wanted to include myself in the conversation somehow. Which for me never happens.
I went with Avery and Cass to their apartment, and little did I know, Eli's now stalker, came along with us.
"Ah! I'm so full I feel like I'm going to give birth!" Avery yells, plopping down on her bed face down. The tiny girl ate a whole pizza herself. I admire her for that.
Cassie laughs as she sits down on her bed which is next to Avery's. She didn't really speak to me either, she's probably still avoiding me.
"Ha, I'm full too. You guys have a bathroom I could use?" The pearl blonde asked, looking around Avery and Cassie's bedroom.
Is it bad I have urges to pull out her hair?
"Out in the hall, on the right," states Cass. We watch the pearl walk off, and hear the door close.
In almost a second, Avery jumps up and looks at both of us with wide eyes. "Bless that bladder of hers for finally making her leave to pee!"
"Did you see how much she was talking to Elijah?! That girl had no restraint," Cassie states, jumping onto Avery's bed. They noticed too?
"Fay, you poor, poor soul. Get your butt over here! We need to talk," Avery hisses. And I obey, slowly walking over to them, and seating myself.
"I didn't understand anything that was happening," Is all I state, staring at the hem of my orange sweater.
Cassie sighs. "It was quite obvious. She's got a thing for him, and he's definitely not interested."
"Yeah that was as plain as day," Avery laughed, before turning her attention to me. "You didn't really talk weirdo, what's up with that? I mean, you're always quiet, but this time it's almost in a gloomy way."
"I don't know. I felt uncomfortable," I state.
At my response, Avery and Cassie look at each other, before breaking into huge smiles.
