Fay

Pets. You gotta love them. They're our loyal, loving companions that just bring lots of joy into our dull and boring lives. Also, annoyance. They tend to bring that too.

Like right now, as I can feel the little paws of Robert across my back. He's been with us for a little over a month now, and he's already grown very much in size. My eyes open, and I look over to the bright eyed feen.

"Come on Robby boy," I yawn. "It's Sunday, my day to sleep in. Leave me alone," I explain to the charcoal feline, who doesn't care; starting to scratch at my arm.

Giving up, I sit myself up in bed and pull the furry ball into my lap; opening up my phone to read any notifications for class or if I've got a text from school. Because let's be honest. No one else's texts me. Although, I see only one text on my screen. Reading:

"Hey, do you remember if we got hot sauce last week?"

Quickly, I realize that it's Eli's number, and distantly, I can hear someone rummaging through the pantry. " Hot sauce was not on the list. Therefore, no." My brain interferes; I reply back with "No, I don't remember putting it on the list."

Though. I don't remember other things either. Like, did I buy grapes? And, how on earth did I get into my bed? I fell asleep in the cab, and don't remember waking up to go up into the apartment. Could he have? Nah, it was a week ago, I probably just forgot.

Throwing away my sleep, I get out of bed and make my way over to my closet, grabbing a random sweater and sweat pants. I'm just gonna have a lazy day, so who cares how I look.

I then walk over to the kitchen. As I do, the sight of the doggie looking through the pantry is right before me. I knew it. Unintentionally, my eyes scan over him, he looks as if he's just woken up as well, notably from his very messy curls; joggers and dark red sweater. Red looks really good on him. Have I said that before?

"Morning," Is all I say. As I do, he jumps a bit and hits his head on a shelf. "Ow! Dammit," He breaths, getting out of the pantry, while rubbing his head.

"You're such a klutz," I state, clicking my tongue, as I go to retrieve a bag of frozen peas from the freezer. "Here." I throw the bag to him, which he swift-fully catches. "Thanks, I didn't hear you come up behind me."

"It's no problem. Also, did you get my text? We didn't get hot sauce," I explain. He sighs disappointedly at this. "No, my phone's in my room. I was all excited and everything too." Once more he sighs, keeping the frozen peas on his head, as his dark puppy eyes drift back towards the pantry.

I snort "Why hot sauce?"

"It sounded good with eggs or something, but whatever, Coco puffs are just as good," He states, walking over to the cabinet to retrieve the box of chocolate goodness. A small smile forms on my lips, which I force away. There's no reason to smile Fay. What's wrong with you?

The known sound of my phone buzzes in my hand, I see a text from none other than Avery stating: "Hello weirdo! Whatcha doing? At home?"

I simply reply with, "Yeah."

She types back quick, "Cool. ;) "

What on earth does that mean? " Hey do you want a bowl?" Eli asks, as he's pours some milk over his Coco puffs. "Sure, thanks," I state, thinking.
