Percy POV
The next day, I'm in science class, when Jason and Piper come up to my table and sit down beside me.

"Hey, Peter." Jason smiles.

"Hey." I answer and open my book.

"Would you like to sit with us at lunch?"

"I already told you yesterday, stay away from me."

"Piper." Jason nods to her and she nods back.

She faces me. "Peter, you will sit with us at lunch without hesitation."

I hesitate then I start to relax and submit, but snap at the last second out of it. At the same time, though, I have to find something out about them. "Fine, but just on my own choice, not yours."

"Fine by us. See ya at lunch." They leave.

What have I gotten into to?

Time Lapse to Lunch
I sit down at an empty table and wait for the others. Dylan stole my lunch again today, but I don't care. I haven't eaten anything the last few days anyway. You get used to it after a while.

Soon, the others show up, sit down, and get out their lunches.

"Glad you could join us, Peter." Hazel smiles.

"Yeah," I answer.

"Do you have a lunch?" Frank asks. I shake my head and he gives me an apple.

"Thanks."

"How's your day been going?" Grover asks.

"Normal."

"Did you here there was a minor explosion in the science lab yesterday during last period?" Grover looks at Leo, who then holds his hands up in surrender.

"Woah, Grover! I didn't do it!"

"So someone that looked exactly like you did it?"

"Yes!" Grover rolls his eyes.

"I heard about it during my architect class," Annabeth says.

"I didn't hear about it," I say and she looks at me curiously.

"What's your last class?"

"Sword fighting. It's a class the teachers picked out for me." That's true. It's weird, but after they realized I had no musical instrument talent, had the singing voice of a hyena, just sat in art class, almost killed someone in robotics, and so on, they added private sword fighting for me because they wanted me to do something active, but I never went so the instructor never shows up.

She grins. "Are you good?"

I shrug. "Not really,"

Truthfully, I don't even show up to the class. The swords don't feel right anymore. The only sword that ever did was Riptide, but I haven't picked it up in forever. Actually, any sword for that matter.

"Maybe we could show you a few moves some time."

"Sure." No!

Dylan walks up to the table and sits down beside Annabeth.

"Hey, babe. Mind if I sit with you?"

She whips out her dagger and holds it at his neck. Would the Mist make it look like a fork or something? "I do mind and I told you, don't mess with me or I'll end you. Clear?"

He nods quickly and sprints away. Everyone laughs.

"Did you see his face?" Thalia exclaims. "It was priceless!"

"I wonder what the Mist made it look like!" Leo  responds.

"The what?" I play dumb. They all get quiet. "The Mist? You mean like in mythology class?"

"Uh...no!"

They're lying, but I don't push it. Another time. Besides, they only want answers, which I'm not going to give.

"I've gotta go," I say and get up. "Thanks for the apple, Frank." He nods and I leave.

Jason POV
Peter is a strange guy. It looks like he's trying to avoid us as if he knows us already while we don't know him. He's just probably afraid of making new friends. Right?

But something seems familiar about him. I can't place my finger on it though. He kind of reminds me of Percy. If Peter had black hair, brighter eyes, happier spirit, he would.

We don't fully know what happened after Percy was punished. All we know is that he's somewhere in this world, with names on his list of people that have been killed because of him.

I don't know. I just think that Percy didn't do everything Vance said he did. He loved Annabeth with all his heart and that day at the beach, he was going to ask her to marry him. Doesn't seem like he would something like breaking her heart.

He went through Tartarus and back for her. If he didn't love her, he would've let go of her while they were hanging from the debris.

Something's not right here. I just don't know what and it's killing me. Peter Johnson, it sounds familiar, yet not. Maybe I'm just losing my brain.

Frank POV
Well, lunch was quite...interesting. Peter Johnson seems like he's hiding something and I would know. I've kept a lot of secrets before.

Peter reminds me of Percy in a way I cannot describe. I know everyone thinks he betrayed Olympus and all that stuff, but I don't believe it and neither does Hazel. I don't Jason believes so either. Or Nico—I think he doesn't really know what to believe so doesn't get involved with it.

He saved our lives more than once, saved the gods twice, and made sacrifices far greater than any traitor would do.

Maybe I'm just holding on to the hope that he's not evil when he really is. I don't know. But I do know there's something not right about Peter and I'm going to find out.
