Vance POV
No, no, no! They seriously bought that lie? How could they've so stupid? Ugh! I have to get back there right now and fix this! They can't believe he's Jackson's descendant or they'll find out everything!

Monday
Percy POV
I run to school and am at my locker when someone pushes me. Dylan.

"What do you want?" I ask.

"What I've been getting for the past few weeks! Give it!"

"Dylan, why don't you pick on someone your own size?" a voice says behind him. It's Thalia and she's mad.

"Lay off, Goth Girl." He sneers.

"Yeah, I don't think so." She grabs his shoulder and pushes him back. "Why you don't you go somewhere else or your pretty little face is going to meet my fists!"

He scurries off and Thalia looks at me. "Are you okay?"

"Just because you know what happens at my house doesn't mean I can't take care of myself." I walk by her and go class.

Thalia POV
That stung. I was just trying to help the guy! See if I help you anymore! Great, I'm talking to myself now! I'm a lunatic!

"Thalia!" a voice exclaims snapping me out of my thoughts, and probably insanity.

"What?" I turn and see Nico.

"What's the matter with Peter?"

"He's mad about something."

"Well, that 'something' is probably the fact that we snuck into his house and tortured him to get answers," Hazel says coming up to them. "I still feel terrible about it."

"Same, but else could we've done? He wasn't going to give us the answers himself." Jason declares.

"I agree," Annabeth says. "I can't get what he said out of my head though, and what Calypso said too."

"Do you really think he's lying about that?"

"I have no idea. His story checks out and everything, but Calypso was trapped on an island for three hundred years. You would pick up a few tricks."

"She was on the island alone for three hundred years. What tricks could you pick up?"

"What do we do then?" Piper asks.

"Be his friend."

"But the curse."

"It's a risk I'm willing to take."

Percy POV
No, no, no! Don't come near me! Stay away! I don't want you to be killed! I don't want another death added!

My brain is trying to think of ways for them to avoid me, stay away, but none come! What am I to do?!

"Peter, good job." The math teacher stands in front of me with a paper in her hand. The test from last week. With a D! New record!

"Thanks." I answer and take it from her. How did I do this good? I usually make like  F's!

"Normally, I wouldn't be proud of a grade like this." Thanks for ruining the thunder! "But, you did better. I hope you continue to improve in the future."

"Yes, Ma'am. Thank you, Ma'am."

She smiles and moves o to the next student. Annabeth. A+. Surprise, surprise. The test was on geometry and calculations, of course she would do good.

"Good job to those who made a passing grade! For those who didn't...see me after class."

The bell rings and almost everyone hurried out except me. "Mrs. Fury."

She looks up. "Peter, what are you doing here still?"

"I didn't pass. I made a 60."

She smiles. "You may leave, Peter."

I get up, grab my things, and walk out. In my next class, everyone stops and stares at me then start whispering.

I hear things like, "abused.", "wimp.", "coward.", and stuff like that. My face grows hot and I run out to the roof. I rest my head against the brick wall.

Annabeth must've done this! They were the only ones that know! How could they? They pretend to be nice only to play their cruelest trick yet!

"Peter." I open my eyes and see my friends standing here.

"What do you want?" I snap.

"The things you heard, we didn't do that," Hazel says.

"As far as I know, you're the only people I've told about it."

"But we didn't do it!" Frank exclaims.

"The evidence is right in front of my face. You pretended to be my friends, only to do this!"

"We would never!" Jason persists.

"I'm done. Leave. Now. Or you'll see me with a sword in my hand."

They leave with their shoulders hunched and a sad look on their faces. I ignore them though and let out my breath slowly.

I hear a noise in front of me but don't open my eyes. "I told y'all to leave." Instead of replying, they grab my arm and I find myself in an alley. Who did this?

I felt in a fighting stance, ready to beat up my attacker. "Who's there?"

"I think you know who I am."

I recognize that voice anywhere. I whip around in that direction and see Vance standing there.

"Hey, Percy, I'm back!"
