Alec's POV
Alec had just grabbed a latte from the local Starbucks with Magnus and was heading out to meet his best friend Jace. It was odd that they were friends, Jace was your stereotypical Jock who loved sports and got all the girls. Alec, however, he was a writer and photographer. He preferred the country life, taking pictures of nature and listening to music in his headphones as he wrote. He had met Jace in English last year, they were put as partners and Alec had taken an instant liking to him. They hung out all the time, well... that was until Clary had happened. Alec's sister Izzy had introduced him to the girl and Jace had fallen deeply in love. Alec was replaced and was looking for someone of his own.
Over the Summer, Alec had come out to his parents and his dad had freaked. He wasn't allowed to go home until 'he got over this stupid phase' like it was something that would go away. Alec had turned spiteful and had decided that this year he was going to get himself a guy. When he had laid eyes on Magnus his heart had fluttered, and when Magnus told him he was bisexual, Alec had been filled with glee.
They met Jace on the football pitch and he smiled with joy as Alec ran and gave him a 'bro hug'. Jace then looked over at Magnus who waved. His glitter shone in the morning light and Alec couldn't help smile.
"Jace, this is my roommate Magnus, Magnus this is my best friend Jace." Alec introduced them to each other and Magnus smirked.
"First crush?" He whispered in his ear.
"Yeah, but keep quiet. I have my eyes on someone else now." Alec winked at Magnus and he blushed.
"What are you two whispering about?" Jace was intrigued.
"Nothing!" They cried in unison.
Jace's POV
For once in his life, Alec looked happy. Jace didn't know what it was, maybe it was the new year, seeing him for the first time in six weeks... or was it this new roommate? He looked rather extra, very sparkly and flamboyant. Whenever Alec looked at the boy, his eyes lit up and he grinned. It was the way Jace looked at Clary... hmmm.
Just as he thought this, Clary and Izzy rocked up and Clary flung herself at Jace and planted kisses all over him. Alec looked like he was going to be sick and Jace laughed. Izzy wandered up to her brother and took him aside for a few minutes. Magnus stood on his own and sipped at his cappuccino awkwardly.
"So... uh... what you studying here, Magnus?"
"Me? Well, I'm doing makeup, hair and beauty therapy. I absolutely adore it all!"
"Oh, those are rather odd topics for a-"
"A boy? Don't be so old-fashioned, Jace! It's the twenty-first-century dear, wake up and smell the equality! Can a bisexual guy not do what he wishes?"
"Of course! He didn't mean that!" Clary chimed in. Magnus smiled and then Izzy squealed. Jace looked over at her and her eyes had lit up with joy.
Jace was confused and then looked at Alec who looked as white as a sheet. His best friend rarely got scared so this was bad. Alec went over and wrapped his arms around the taller boy as he whispered 'please stop her before everyone here disowns me' Even more confused than before, he watched as Izzy stood in front of Magnus and blurted out the so-called fatal words.
"Will you go out with Alec tonight to watch a movie. He'll pay." The two boys locked eyes and Jace's mouth fell open.
"Urm... sh-sure." Magnus stuttered going bright red.
"Alec! You're..."
"Yes."
"Since when?"
"Since always, Jace. I just didn't want you to leave me with no friends. My dad has already left me with no home." Alec sighed and Jace grabbed him tight.
"I love you, you are the brother I never had. Come on, let's get to class and we'll talk this over later."
Raphael's POV
Simon and he had been hanging around at the library all morning to get some extra revision in. However, he hadn't been able to concentrate due to Simon rambling on. Not that it distracted him in a bad way. He watched and listened with real intent. He liked it when Simon went off on his rants, it amused him to see the boy get so riled up. He was so cute when he got mad. He got a little twitch in his nose and he always adjusted his glasses. Raphael had been in a trance for about an hour and Simon was staring at him.
"You ok?"
"Hmm?" Raphael replied dreamily.
"You seem a bit... well... dazed."
Raphael shook his head and smiled, "Just thinking, 'tis all."
"Well, our lesson is about to start so we best get going."
