Alec's POV

I woke up the next morning and reached over Magnus to check my phone. Magnus tightened his grip on me and kissed my hair. I smiled to myself and turned to kiss him on the lips. He was so warm and I didn't want to leave but I had an early morning lecture. Maybe I could just miss it, get the notes from Jace. Yeah, that's what I was going to do, spend the day with Magnus. We deserved it, we were good students that needed a break.

I checked my messages and realised I had six missed calls and a text from Clary. 'Meet me at the little coffee shop across from the library, bring Magnus if you want. This is URGENT!!' I rolled my eyes and then told Magnus to get dressed. He sighed and rolled out of the bed, landing on the floor with a thump.

"Alec... baby... honey... help me up?" I laughed and lifted him off the ground, kissed him on the forehead and smacked his behind when he left to go get dressed. He turned around and winked and we ended up in a fit of giggles.

After Magnus took half an hour to get dressed he stood in the doorway of the bathroom, leaning on the frame, showing off in his tight white jeans and sparkly black jumper. I wore black jeans and a white shirt with a bulky coat to fight off the November frost. He took my hand, smiled up at me and we headed off. The cafe was a quaint little spot where University students went to get a cheap energy boost and catch up with friends. I saw the firey waves before I heard her.... for once. I slid into the booth across from Jace and Magnus sat next to me, taking my hand again. We ordered and the whole time Clary seemed as white as a sheet. I asked her what was wrong and she looked around before whispering her response.

She told me everything she had found out about 'Sebastian' and when I thought it couldn't get any worse she pulled out a picture from her purse. Magnus who had been silent this whole time gasped and gripped my arm. A mugshot that looked exactly like 'Sebastian' but with the name Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern.

"Izzy is in danger Alec. She won't listen to me, I tried telling her last night and she wouldn't even consider it."

"What was he convicted of?" I felt the rage boiling inside me.

"Murder, mass murder." Jace spat. "We need to get Izzy to listen, to understand, or this is going to end badly."
