Magnus' POV

I have never been one to show off with wealth... unless we are talking cars. I always had the biggest and best. Strutting into the car park, I pressed the button on my keys and a slick, black Mclaren lit up. I smirked as Jace gawked at it, stroking the paintwork and turning into a young boy.

"No way!! How did you get one of these??" Simon was in shock.

"I have my ways," I replied vaguely and waved my hand dismissively as if it weren't a massive deal.  "Alec and I can take this and we will catch up in no time. Alec is tracking Izzy's phone since she's not actually that clever." I chuckled and slid into the driver's seat.

They hadn't left too long ago, the tracker said they were about half an hour ahead of us so they must have stopped off to sleep and have breakfast. Alec was blasting heavy metal through my speakers and muttering about how much he hated British people. I could relate. The roads were pretty empty since it was a work/school day. This made it a lot easy to speed down the highway and closing the gap from thirty to fifteen minutes.... make that ten. Oh, I loved this car so much!

Alec's POV

The tracker said we were ten minutes behind now and we were getting closer and closer to the docks. The sea was in view and my anxiety was growing by the second. Magnus seemed to sense this and leant in for a kiss. He then slammed his foot into the acceleration and we went flying down the highway. The few cars that were around beeped furiously and glared in anger. We got off the highway at breakneck speed and I looked at the tracker. Two minutes behind. The docks were now fifteen minutes away. Magnus had to slow down now that we were off the highway and I was getting impatient.

Just as we could see the docks, the tracker was pointing down a side street that headed to a wooded area. We turned down it and climbed out at the edge of the forest. I followed the tracker for a little bit and then it said I was right on top of her. She wasn't there. I looked around and saw something flashing. A phone. Izzy's phone. My heart skipped a beat.

"Izzy?! Izzy!! Izzy where are you? Isabelle!" I screamed and screamed and received no answer. Magnus called Clary and told her to send the police to our location.

Running down the dirt track, I kept thinking of all the things he could have done to her. My little sister. This was all my fault, I should have been more strict with her. I should've known not to trust someone with an English accent. Where could she be?

Then I heard it. A cry for help. It as quiet and short but I definitely heard it. I moved towards the noise and then I saw the bushes move. I sprinted into them and saw a tall outline bending over something lying on the floor. As I moved closer it was a sight to behold. Sebastian lay on the ground with a deep gash down the whole right side of his face. His leg was broken at an abnormal angle. Over him with a rock in hand was Izzy. Her eye was bruised and she had a knife wound up her arm. She was breathing heavily and when she saw me she fell into my arms. Magnus appeared a few seconds later, also out of breath and he grabbed Sebastian by the arm, dragging him onto the path.

Soon the police were there and took Sebastian into custody. Izzy stood there shaking like crazy and we got her into one of the police cars and I went with her. Magnus drove his car home alongside the cop car. We got back to school as last period was ending and we went to Magnus' and my dorm. I ran Izzy a bath and she curled up on the bed silently. She didn't cry, she saw it as weak. She simply stared at the wall and whispered:

"I should've listened to you... I'm an idiot."

"There'll be more guys, don't you worry. Just use your judgement better next time, sweety." Magnus hugged her and stroked her hair, "Trust me, honey, I've dated psychopaths before and if I gave up on love I never would've met Alexander. Keep your chin up."

I walked back in and Izzy went to take her bath. It had been one hell of a day and all I wanted to do was climb into bed with my love and forget any of it had happened but I knew everyone would be coming over to check on her.

Clary came over to take her back to their dorm so that Magnus and I could get some rest. We climbed under the covers and he sighed. "Never again." He whispered simply.

"Never again." I agreed and fell straight to sleep.
