-Chapter 5-

I woke up to the beautiful sound of my alarm clock ringing beside my ears. No sarcasm. Seriously.

Normally, I would have the urge to throw the clock against the wall but this time, I didnt. Instead, I turned it off with a gleeful smile on my face.

I took a warm shower and got dressed into decent comfortable clothes before skipping down the stairs. Today was going to a good day because nothing was getting in the way of it.

I was going to my favourite band's concert with my now 'bestest' friend. (Because he got me the tickets)

To be honest, I was surprise he didnt say anything when I wanted him to come with me. They were a boyband and obviously the amount of guys going is going to countable and close to zero. Normally girls would go together to fangirl over them but for me, I brought the one who bought it for me.

"Hey mum!" I greeted when I reached the kitchen and saw mum sitting on the stool calmly.

"Hey, Nessa darling."

This was rare.

There was hardly a moment like this that I can catch because mum was always busy. She never had the time to relax and sip her coffee in the morning like this.

Sometimes, I pity her. She works too hard. I needed to think of something to surprise her on her upcoming birthday. It had got to be amazing.

My thoughts were interrupted with the doorbell as my mum got off to get it.

"Who is at the door mum?" I called out while munching on my cereal.

"No one." she replied but what made me curious were their whispering shouts. I could hear them but I couldnt make out the words they were saying.

"What is happening there?" I said bringing my bowl and spoon together with me to see who this mysterious visitor was.

The moment I stepped out to see, my mum slammed the door shut.

"Mum? Who was that?" I asked carefully.

"No one, darling. Eat in the kitchen please." she ordered me nicely but with a stern voice. I didnt want to push it so I did as I was told but stopped in my steps when the person outside shouted.

"Vanessa?" the voice said.

"Cameron?" I asked and looked at my mum for permission to open back the door. She shrugged and shot me a sympathetic smile.

She was always the one helping me stay away from him. She made up the best excuse ever to make him leave.

She said she would do it till I was ready to talk to him.

I took a deep breath before swinging the door open and revealing my ex boyfriend standing casually with his hands in the pockets of his jeans.

His face lit up with happiness when he saw me but I dreaded this moment. I was going to talk to him once and for all. To get him to leave me alone. If he wanted to talk, fine. I will let him.

"Vannie." he smiled.

I kinda miss that name although I didnt allow Cassandra to say it anymore, I wanted Cameron to say it. I was being bias but oh wells.

"What do you want, Cameron?" I said with a serious tone and folded my arms against my chest.

"Wow. You finally talk to me." he laughed.

"You have one minute to explain why are you always texting me, calling me and even coming to my house." My face not showing any expression. He was constantly coming to my house and trying to get me to talk to him but I would never let him. Sometimes, even my mum would threaten him to leave. The first time he came, he even camp outside my house.

"Can we take a walk at the park for a moment instead?"

"Urm yea sure." I hesitated but nevertheless stepped out of the house and both of us took a slow stroll to the park. At first it was awkward and quiet but he broke it in the end.

"Nice weather isnt it?"

"Yeah."

"I cant believe you are finally going to let me talk. Pinch me please." he smiled

"Dont push your luck too far." I teased.

"I just wanted to talk. Is it that hard?"

Hard? He must be crazy. "To be honest, it was very difficult. You broke my heart to date my best friend, you dont deserve to be entertained." I huffed.

"Entertain eh?" he said wriggling his eyebrows.

"Dont think of unwanted pictures please." I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Who is the one thinking of it now?" he laughed.

"Cam, seriously? Thanks a lot! I am too innocent!!" I said waving my hand vigorously in the air.

"Innocent Vannie. I miss teasing you about it." he laughed.

"Yeah yeah." I rolled my eyes playfully again.

"I miss all of this." he said.

Right when those words escaped his lips, my happy face went emotionless.

"I miss this." he said gesturing between him and me. "I miss us." he sighed.

Before I could ask him why he did what he did, he leaned in slowly and closed the gap between us. Without any warning, he placed his lips on mine. I was utterly taken by shock and couldnt respond but he was persistant for me to react and kiss him back.

The kiss sent shivers down my spine in a good way and my whole body was tingling of joy.

I miss this. I miss his kiss. Most of all, I miss him.

He traced his tongue on my bottom lips, asking for permission. Out of natural instinct, I let him. His kiss was nice and his lips were soft as his tongue and mine colliding.

As much as I wanted to enjoy the kiss, I pulled back. I was making him cheat on Cassie.

My hands went straight to cover my mouth which was hanging open.

I kissed Cameron.

Cameron was dating Cassie.

I made him cheat on her.

I was as bad as Cassandra.

I could even be labelled as a slut.

A tear trickled down my cheeks as I got out of Cameron's grip on me and ran home.

I ran away from him, from my ex, from my past, from my misery without another glance back.

I cant belive I betrayed my ex best friend.
