-Chapter 14-

"You feeling better?" I asked.

"My arm is still sore like

"I dont know what to make you feel better." I mumbled, feeling a pinch of guilt.

"Well, if saying this makes you feel better. You being here makes me feel better." He smiled.

"Glad that my presence makes such an impact on you." I laughed.

"So how is everything?" Jacob asked.

"Fine, I guess. Occasionally I would ask Nick to come over to make me feel safer." I sighed. "I am still traumatized and terrified at the same time."

"It will be all over once the police finds him."

"I hope so. Did you know that I had to fight my way in here?" I told him.

He raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

"Your mum still hates me and thinks I am going to cause more harm."

"It will take a while for her to warm up to you. She doesnt click with people easily and has trust issues." he told me.

"I get it. Neither do I."

"It's a matter of- ouch! shit!" he scrunched his eyes and winced in pain.

"It's really sore and tight." I examined his arm and poked it lightly.

"I can feel the tightness."

"Here, let me help. When Cameron broke his ankle, it was so swollen, he couldnt walk without screaming i. pain. Cody massaged it and it got better way faster. He taught me how too." I said as my fingers pressed onto his skin. It moved around the swollen part and I digged in everytime I felt it was tight.

"Ouchh!" He winced. "Oh My God!" he yelled.

"What?!? What's wrong?" his mother dashed me and caught me pressing onto his arm. "I KNEW YOU WERE TRYING TO KILL HIM FROM THE VERY START!" She shrieked and pulled me away from Jacob.

"Mum!" Jacob shouted.

"HOW DARE YOU!" She pushed me against the chair.

"Mum!"

"YOU LITTLE MANIPULATIVE WITCH!" She growled and my heart was beating out of my chest. She looked so furious she could just hit me.

"Mum!"

Her hands were up to my throat, trying to pin me to the chair. "I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT-"

"MUM!!!"

"What? I am handling her!" she huffed.

"She was just massaging me." he rolled his eyes at his mum. "Let her go!"

"What?"

"Let. Her. Go. Now." he hissed and her hands released me. Every encounter with Jacob's mum was another of my nightmare.

"Hurt him again and I will hurt you!" she threatened and took a seat on the chair in a corner.

"Mum, give us privacy." he said annoyed with his mum's behaviour.

She reluctantly got out of the chair. "Fine. Dont hesitate to shout if she hurts you." she said and left.

"She wont, mum!" he said, rolling his eyes at her.

The atmosphere was silent and thickening every second. None of knew what to say after that.

"I had a flashback." I said.
