-Chapter 9-
It was an early Saturday morning and Lee (another guy on the football team) took me out of dreamland.
"What?" I croaked when his call woke me up.
"I am coming in 20 minutes. I hope you were awake and getting ready." he said with a cheerful tone which kind of irritated me at that moment. Why did he have to wake me up?!?
My eyes averted to the clock at my bed side and immediately widened at the sight of it. Either I slept through my ringing alarm clock or I forgot that I woke and up and offed it because I was pretty sure I set it to ring an hour ago.
"Oppsy?" I said and he laughed.
"Whatever it is, be ready in 20." he said and hung up.
I forced myself up and got dress immediately, mentally groaning and blaming all of this on Lee.
Apparently he made me get up early to play Tennis with him. I was so going to beat his ass later. Waking up for a game of tennis was not a good reason.
Lee was my only Asian friend. He too was in the football team with Nick, Cameron and the other guys. He was born in Korean and moved here when he was 5. He has black hair and has a huge collection of caps.
"I'm too tired, Lee!" I whined as he took my tennis bag from me when he came knocking on my door.
"Come on! I want to play Tennis!" He begged and pulled me towards his car. "Please Please Please!"
"Okay okay." I surrendered and let him carry me bridal style to his car.
"Yay! I was so lazy to walk too anyways!" I squealed and he chuckled.
"I wonder how you can be so hyper when you are tired." he laughed as he gently put me down in his red shiny convertible.
"I am special like that." I told him and he drove to the tennis court. It was a few minutes drive from my house which was really convinient for me when I wanted to play.
"We could have just meet there, you know. You didnt have to pick me." I told him
"Your house was practically on the way. It is not a problem to me." he smiled politely.
We sat in his car which was blasting Avicii songs. I was going to be deaf by the time we reach there.
"Okay, let's go!" he said excitedly while opening his car door for me like a gentleman when we arrived.
"Why are you so excited?" I mumbled sleepily as I was sleeping in his car the whole way here.
"Because we are playing Tennis!!!" he said and took all our things out. He insisted on carrying both his and my tennis bags even though I told him I could handle it.
"I can carry it by myself, Lee." I told him and wanted to take my stuff from him.
"I can carry it for you. Just let me." He replied sternly and I didnt argue anymore. When we were walking towards the courts, we saw a bunch of guys at a deserted lane smoking. They were covered with tattoos and most of them have peircings on their lips which made them look really scary.
A shiver went down my spine when I looked at them. It was terrifying. Imagine getting in their way and them bashing you up. You probably wouldnt survive.
At the court, we 'coincidentally' bumped into Cameron and Cody. Of all places, why must Cameron be here?
Seriously.
Just my luck.
My plan of pretending I didnt see them failed when his brother spotted me. He came jogging up to me with a big grin on his face.
