-Chapter 6-
"Honey?" my mum called out when I barged into the house and ran straight to my room.
I was having the worst feeling ever. How could I act like that when I myself knew how it would feel.
"Vanessa, darling." she said, knocking on my door and letting herself in.
I felt a side on my bed sink in as she started stroking my hair. I was curled up into a ball and letting my tears fall freely.
"Why do I still like him?" I muffled with my face buried in my pillow.
"Well, maybe because you have not move on." she said and my head snapped up to look at her.
"How am I suppose to move on when I still like him?" I sighed.
"Just let your heart take over. You may be left heartbroken again or it will heal it. No matter what happens, or what you chose, I will support you." she smiled.
I bit my lower lips and played with the split ends of my hair as I listened to my mum.
"Thanks mum." I shot her a weak sad smile before she left my room. Leaving me alone for a while to think and to decide.
Just then, my phone beeped.
~Get ready by 6 if you want the best spot. ;) Blake
I looked at the concert tickets on my table and my misery was flushed away for a second there.
I hopped off my bed to get dress. Maybe the concert might help me get my mind off Cameron.
At 6 sharp, the doorbell rang and I went to get it, wearing a pink tank top and shorts. It was casual because the concert was held in an open space, no roof top.
I silently prayed that it would not rain.
"Hey 'bestest' friend." I grinned.
"New name for me? I thought I was Blakey the meanie?" he gave me a loopsided smile.
"I have now upgraded your status to my bestest friend instead of my mean friend." I laughed.
"I feel flattered." he said, joining my laughter. "You ready?"
I nodded. "Yeap. Just let me get my purse and we can leave." I told him and went back into the house while he waited for me in his red sports car.
I had been going out really often every weekend after Luke took me out. The next day after my 'date' with Luke, Jacob (another guy on the football team) took me out for go karting. Today, I was going to a concert with Blake.
"On the scale of 1 to 10, how excited are you?" he asked, hands on the steering wheel.
"Definitely a 10!" I laughed.
"Just do me a favour and not scream in my ears when we are there or when you see them." He teased.
"I have my rights to scream, Blake." I rolled my eyes playfully, switching the radio station.
He narrowed his eyes at me when I changed it but I just smiled. "Yeah. Yeah. You are so going to love me for what is going to happen later."
"I already love you for the tickets, Blake."
"Oh, trust me, you will love me more later." he winked.
We reached the concert venue way later than expected and the queue to enter was so long. It was as long as the longest rope in the world. Kidding but it was really long.
"Oh my gosh. The line is so long." I whined and walked behind the line. We were behind two screaming girls who were taking selfies with their phone.
