-Chapter 21-
"Okay girls, once more before we split!" I ordered and the girls scrambled to their places.
I punched the play button of the mp3 player and the music started.
"5, 6, 7, 8!"
We did the routine without any mistakes and we ended it perfectly. Every stunt was done on the dot with the music and truthfully, Cassandra did a great job with them.
"That was great, girls! Hit the showers!" I said and the girls seperated. Some went off and some stayed.
"You miss it, dont you?" Candace asked, grinning from ear to ear.
I laughed. "I guess you could say that. It has been quite a while."
"True that."
"But it feels different without Cassandra though."
"You'll get used to it. Dont worry. I cant believe you are our captain again. We are so going to win this championship again!" she shrieked excitedly.
"Having really high hopes for me, arent you?"
"Definitely! Anyways, I am in a rush to go home. I'll catch you tomorrow?"
"Arighty." I said and waved at her as she skipped away.
I started packing my things and let go of my ponytail to tie it into a bun.
"Hey." someone said.
"Jacob, hey." I said when I turned around to see him outside the dance studio.
"That was really awesome. The routine and all."
"Well, I cant take credits for it." I laughed. "I am just continuing what Cassandra started."
"I am pretty sure if you guys did what you did earlier, the trophy is guranteed yours." he smiled.
"I hope so. What are you doing here?" I asked and he didnt reply. He actually didnt have to as I checked my phone.
Heyyo. Mum wants me to run some errands. Got Jacob to pick you up instead. Forgive me my lady ;)

"Looks like you're stuck with me." I said and he laughed.
"It is my pleasure."
"I figured you'd say that." I said rolling my eyes when he winked at me.
"Let me hit the showers before we leave." I told him and he nodded.
I took a nice warm short shower so that I didnt make Jacob wait too long. I came out the locker room only to see Andrea, one of the cheerleaders, talking to Jacob. I really wanted to go home but it didnt seem that Andrea was willing to let him go just yet with her sedusive eyes.
She started giggling and touching his arm flirtatiously. He flinched a little before smiling politely and walking away. Then he spotted me and strolled casually towards me.
"You ready?"
"Yeap. Thanks for giving me a lift home." I said getting into his car.
"No problem. Like I said, it was my pleasure." he said, grinning like an idiot. "You hungry? Want to get some food? I have cravings for ice cream."
"I cant, I'm on training." I told him.
"But a small scoop wouldnt hurt right?" he said and I gave it thought.
"Fine." I said surrending and he squealed like a small boy excitedly.
He drove us to a nearby ice cream shop named Gelato Delights. I sighed as I entered the shop, thinking about back then, Cameron would always persuade me in forgetting about cheer for once and to eat ice cream with him. He always wins and we would drive up to Hagen Daz, his favourite.
