First of all, I wanna apologize for this really short chapter. It is quite short compared to my other chapters so yeah. Sorry but enjoy :B
-Chapter 8-
"Shit!" I screamed as I fidgeted on the bed. I rolled to the left then to the right again and again.
It was my time of the month and I was yelping in pain. The agony of pain piercing through my uterus was unbearable. Seriously.
I fumbled to leave my bed and stumbled to get to my medic cupboard. One hand clutching onto my tummy, trying to ease the pain, the other trying to get the pain killers out.
Where the hell was my pain killers? I searched the entire cupboard.
"Vitamins? No.
Shit.
I was out of painkillers.
"Mum?" I shouted as loud as I could but there was no reply. She must had left for a meeting early in the morning.
I dragged myself over to my bed waiting for a miracle to happen. Maybe the pain killers falling from the sky. I curled myself into a ball and laid on the bed. My arms wrapping around my other pillow as I felt tears in my eyes.
"Nessa?" A voice said. It was as though this voice was sent down from heaven and was going to help me.
"Hmm?" My forehead creased at the pain as I tried to lift my eyelids.
"On that time of month again?" my visitor said.
I nodded as my mouth couldnt produce the words to answer him.
"Where do you keep your pain killers?" he asked.
I shook my head and surprisintly he got the message fast.
"I'll go get some from my house then." he said went off. It was only a moment of minutes he came back with a plastic bag and a glass of water. He gave me a weak smile and I felt the bed tipping to one side.
"Here. Take this." he handed me the pills and I popped them in my mouth with a gulp of water. I felt a sense of relief when I ate it even though the effect of the pills havent kick in. It was the thought of having them in me made me feel painless.
"Alright. I'll leave you to rest. Be expecting me later though." he winked and once again I was left alone.
My mind slowly drifted off and into dreamland as soon as I heard the door clicked close.
The sleep I had was nice and long. I was practically sleeping for 3 hours with a nice dream about Andrew Garfield. Imagine meeting him in real life. It would be a dream come true. I loved his acting and he looks so hot as Spiderman. Imagine being Emma Stone. Oh my gosh. Acting with him. What a fantasy.
My eyes swung open to the smell of smoke. My nose was really sensitive to these kind of smell. My panic mood was turned on as I rushed down stairs to see what was burning.
I took two steps at a time all the way to the kitchen only to see a panicking guy trying to put the fire out. He was holding a fire extinguisher with one hand and a spatula in the other.
The smoke detector started to ring by the time I got there.
His eyes were wide open when he saw me standing there. I rushed to his side with the a small pail of water and poured over it.
"I'm so sorry." he started apologising profusely, again and again. All I did was chuckled at the thought of his reaction at a small piece of cloth burning.
"It's okay. Small mistakes, happens all the time to everyone." I told him. "Just out of curiousity, why and what were you cooking?"
"Chicken soup. My mum said that a bowl of hot soup makes girls on their time feel better." he said, my lips were tugged into a shy smile.
"Aww.. That is so sweet of you." I cooed and he blushed. "You didnt have to."
"I'm sorry for almost burning down your house." he said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's okay. I'll continue from here." I smiled and he stood by me, watching me cook in silence. I cleared up the burnt cloth and made Nick and myself some soup. He ordered some pizzas and both of us watched a movie while eating.
We were watching Frozen. I love that movie. It was like the best animated movie ever made. Both of us were cuddled up on the couch.
"So, I am guessing you feel better now?" he smiled.
"Yeah. The pain killers really killed the pain." I said and he chuckled at my lame attempt to make a joke. At least I tried.
"I actually thought you didnt want to go to school because of the incident yesterday." he sighed.
"Oh no. That is the past. No point thinking about it."
"I just hope you werent traumatised or something." he sighed again. "Sorry about it. And I shouldnt have punch Cameron. It was going overboard."
"It's okay." I had been saying this sentence for the billionth time.
"No, it's not. You witnessed 2 fights, that is horrible!"
"Seriously, I am fine. Just a little startled and shock."
"It wont happen again. Promise." he smiled.
"I hate to see you boys fight. Worst thing is I dont really know why either."
"Well, that is a reason you have to find out yourself." he gave me a cheeky grin.
I shrugged and changed the subject."You skipped class because of me?" I asked and he nodded. "Why?"
"To make sure you were going to be okay."
"That's really nice. You didnt to have though. I just needed the pain killers." I laughed.
"What are best friends for?" he smiled.
"Thank you."
"No problem. I love you." he said as his arms around me tightened.
"I love you too, best friend." I grinned and put my head against his chest.
