-Chapter 3-
"In the acient times, the Romans..." the teacher carried on but once again, I spaced out.
Who cares about ancient times? It was the past. Who cares what the Romans did too? I mean not to be offensive but I really dont care.
I started to doodle on my textbook again. My textbooks were the nicest conpared to other people. Why? Cause I decorated it.
"Psst Nessa."
I turned my head to the sound of my name being called out to see Blake smiling at me. "What?" I whispered.
"Check this!" he handed me his phone.
"Are you crazy?" I mouthed. Phone were strictly not allowed in class and Blake was passing me one. If I got caught my life was over.
"Just look at it!" he said softly.
I snatched the phone away from his hand as swift as possible and hid the phone under the table as I use it. The screen was showing me a receipt. What was this?
I enlarged and saw the amount he paid. Oh gosh, that was a lot. What did he buy and why did he want to show me?
I scrolled up and something caught my attention. My jaw dropped and my eyes widen. Was he serious?
It was a receipt to the tickets to a concert he bought. Oh My Gawd. Unbelievable. If he bought this for me, I was totally going to freak and he was going to get the title of being my bestest friend ever. Not kidding.
"For me?" I mouthed, pointing at myself and he nodded. I bit back my shriek, trying my best not to scream out of excitement.
"Vanessa?"
"Yes?" My head snapped up in a hurry.
Crap.
Beads of sweat started to drip. I was nervous as hell, if she caught me, my perfect record would be destroyed.
"Can you tell us what did the rich Romans used to eat?"
"Urm they normally eat meat. That is what differ them from the poor. The poor couldnt afford meat so they only eat vegetables." I said, playing with the hems of my tank top.
"Perfect answer. Thank you Vanessa."
I sighed a breath of relief. Thank goodness.
I could hear Blake chuckling from behind, that twat. I frowned as I passed his phone back to him and he gave me a goofy grin.
The bell rang, signalling the end of history class. I actually had no idea why I took this class. It was boring as hell.
Blake and I made our way to the cafeteria to meet up with the others.
"You should have seen her face!" Blake laughed telling the guys my encounter with the phone and teacher.
"Shut up." I muttered, punching Blake on the arm.
"Aww if she got the detention, Blake, your life would end now." Luke laughed.
"True. But I am the master of manipulation. I could totally talk the teacher out of it." he shot us his cocky smile.
"If those tickets are not for me, I would slaughter you this instance too." I told him.
"Dont worry babe, it is for you."
"Thank you! Thank you!" I said strangling him in a hug.
"Yeah yeah. When I found out they were coming, I couldnt help myself. I remember you telling me how much you love them. So, I got you two. You can bring anyone you want." he smiled.
