Chapter 24: The More The Merrier

**Belle**

I haven't seen or heard from Justin in two days.
Two whole days.
48 hours.
Now take that, and add me liking him and not being able to see him. Then take that and add the fact that we live together, I like him, and I haven't seen him. Now, take that and add having Jessica Ferosi on my back, coming to the table everyday asking where Justin is.
He hasn't left his room once except last night when I heard him go down stairs, get in his car, and drive off somewhere at 12 am.
I'm not going to lie, I actually thought about following him, but I couldn't use any of his parents cars, that would be so rude of me especially considering the fact that I haven't met them yet. Also that is a huge invasion on his privacy and I couldn't do that to him.
I have been bringing him work from school, which to my surprise, are looked at and completed the next day everyday, and are waiting for me on the counter top every morning.
I'm eating cereal at the table when I hear footsteps descend from the stairs.
I get up and go over to them. I see Justin standing on the second to last step looking at me.
He is smiling but he looks exhausted.
He's been crying, I can tell. He walks over to me and looks down at me. He tucks a hair behind me ear and kisses my forehead.
"Justin.." I breathe. Oh how I missed this. Him ! His gentle touch, his warm lips.
"Are you-"
"Yes, I'm fine." He cuts me off.
"Are you-"
"Coming to school? Yes." He cuts me off again.
"Are you-"
"Hungry? Absolutely."
"Are you-"
"Belle, enough. Its okay." He kisses my cheek and walks into the kitchen.
For some reason everything feels so awkward. I haven't see him in what felt like forever and now he is just telling me that he is okay.
Calm down, patience.
"So anything interesting go on while I was out?" He asks picking up an apple.
"Well, Tabby and I are sitting to your lunch table now." I smile nervously.
"Ha, no way. That's cool." He smiles. "Who put that law into motion, Damien?" He looks at me.
"Bingo." I say.
He laughs, "he'a such a clown. But really, that's good, I'm glad you're there now I have something to look forward to everyday." He says putting a spoon full of cereal in his mouth.
Why do I feel so weird ? You know that feeling when everything is okay but because everything is okay you know something bad is going to happen? That's what I'm feeling but what could possibly go wrong?
"Jessica has been searching the globe for you by the way. She has added herself to the table until you return." I tell him.
He chokes on his milk, "she's crazy. But don't worry I'll remove her."
I shake my head.
"And um," How do I find the right words to say that since he's been gone other guys have a new found confidence to talk to me and flirt with me.
"What is it?" He asks.
"Since you've been gone, other guys have shown interest in me." I close my eyes afraid of what he might say.
"Like who?" He asks. I know he wants names so he can go to their houses and blow them up.
"Just Kevin Hills, Max Eggoo, Gerald Smith, and Hudson Tiddleson." I shrug.
"I'll kill them."
"No Justin, I don't even care about them, I don't like them." I tell him. He seems a tad annoyed or angry. He grips his spoon and drops it in the sink.
He turns and walks back to me, "who do you like then? We never talked about that, sister to sister."
He leans close, my face reddens.
I stand up and start heading to the door, "I'm going to be late bye !" I walk out the door.

Riding with Justin to school is so much fun.
We sing to Fall Out Boy and Beyonce and talk about the greatest moments in American history.
"Justin." I speak.
"Belle." He answers.
"What do you want to be when you grow up?" I ask, yes I already know the answer to this question but I have never heard him say it.
"Well now, when I was 8 I wanted so bad to be an astronaut. Oh how I wanted to touch the stars. But then, I really got into engineering when I was 13 so that is what I'm sticking with. And who knows maybe when I'm 70 I'll go into space. Then my life will really be complete." He smiles. "And what about you dear? What do you want to be?."
"Well now lets see, when I was 6 I wanted to get paid to do the hair for Barbies. Then when I was 10 I wanted to be a firefighter because I found out that there are barley any women in that department and because all the boys would tease me and say I couldn't do it because I am a girl. Then when I turned 15, I discovered the world of business. So now my current passion is to be the CEO of my own company or at least the manager of a business." I conclude and Justin claps.
He laughs, "that was amazing, I truly am inspired by your life journey."
"I'm glad I can help one soul at a time." He nudges me and I lean on his arm.
We pull up in the school parking lot and I get out the car and wave to Tabby and Kyle.
They are so cute. She actually went on a date with him last night, I have to ask how it went.
Justin joins me as I get my bag out the back.
"Oh, I almost forgot, Luke spoke yesterday." I smirk at him.
"No fucking way real-"
He stops talking and looks past me. I turn around to see who he is looking at.
This is the bad thing I think I was talking about.
Kevin Hills walks up to us to ask Belle a question.
Is he blind?
"Um what's up Kevin?" I ask him.
"So, I'm throwing a party Saturday you should come." That is not a question. He looks at me like I'm a meal. Its freaking weird and makes me super uncomfortable.
I take a step back and feel Justin's hands on my waist.
"S-sure. Can I bring my friends?" I stamper. I stutter when I'm nervous.
He looks at Justin, "Sure, bring them, the more the merrier right?" He smiles at not me, but Justin. I can feel his grip getting tighter on me.
Kevin walks away keeping his gaze on Justin.
This is so weird.
"Ah Justin." I take his hands and try to pull them off my body. "Justin ow."
He blinks, "oh shit. I'm sorry." He whispers.
"Its fine, I'm okay come on lets go find Luke and Damien." I take his hand and pull him along.
Something tells me that that wasn't the bad thing, not yet.
