You and Dean are best friends in this one.

Y/N p.o.v:

You were in your room reading a book when you heard a knock on your door.
"Come in." You said softly. The door opened and you looked up from the book you were reading. You saw Dean standing there with a concerned look.
"You've been quiet for the past few days. You okay?" He asked. You smiled and set down your book.
"I'm fine. I promise. Just been really tired lately." You said. It wasn't a complete lie. You have been tired. Mostly because you can't sleep. But the part about you being fine, was a lie. Tomorrow is the day of your parents death. That'd why you weren't fine. Dean nodded and smiled at you.
"Okay. Just checking. But if something is wrong, talk to me or Sam. We're always here for you." He said and then left. You sighed. You hated lying to your best friend along with Sam and Cas, but you didn't want him to worry. He had problems of his own.

~next day~

You woke up to an empty bunker. You walked out of your room and to the kitchen. You made yourself a bowl of cereal and then went to the library. You had found a note on the table that said:

Y/N,

Me and Sam found a case while you were asleep. Its a ghost. We didn't want to wake you, so we just thought we would take care of it ourselves. Be back in a few hours.

~ Dean

You read it and then set it back down. You ate your cereal while thinking about what today was. Today was the day your parents died. Murdered by vampires. Dean didn't know it was the anniversary of your parents death. Neither did Sam. You ate the rest of your breakfast and went to the kitchen to put your dish in the sink. Next, you walked down to the shooting range to take out your anger and sadness on a board. After about 10 minutes, you heard a flutter of wings, but that didn't stop you from firing your gun at the board that already had enough holes in it.
"Y/N, Dean and Sam sent me to make sure you were alright." Cas said. You stopped shooting and turned around to fake a smile at him.
"You can tell them that I'm doing just fine." You said. Cas smiled and then disappeared. You stopped smiling and sighed.
'Even Cas doesn't know.' You thought. You grabbed your guns and then went back up to your room. You got in there and put your guns away. You, then, walked out of your room to watch some TV, hoping it will keep your mind off of today. You strolled into the library and plopped down on the couch. You turned on the TV. You surfed your way through channels until you just decided on something call Sherlock. Soon after the episode was over you still couldn't get your mind off of your parents death. All you could think was that it was your fault and that you could have saved them. Your family hunted. You knew how to kill the vampires, but all you could do was stand and watch. The vamps would have killed you if you tried to save them. You were a good little soldier who listened to orders and it was your father who told you to listen to the vampires. So, yeah. It was your fault your parents were dead. Everyday you break even more because of how much you hate yourself for not saving your parents when you had the chance. You turned off the TV and went to your room. You turned off your light and sat on your bed. You sat there and stared at the wall for a while. After a few hours, your phone rang. You picked it up and looked at who was calling you. It was Dean. Of course it was him. You answered it.
"Yeah?" You said quietly.
"We're on our way back. We got food too." Dean said.
"I already ate, but okay." You told him.
"Oh, okay. I'll just eat your food then." Dean said with a chuckle. You forced a small laugh.
"Yeah, okay." You said.
"Y/N, are you alright?" He asked.
"Yes, dean. I'm fine. Stop worrying about me." You answered. Dean sighed. Dean sighed.
"Okay. We'll be there soon." He said.
"Okay. I'll be here." You said and then hung up. You got under your covers and closed your eyes. You let your tears fall. Soon, you heard the bunker door open and then shut.
"Y/N, we're back!" Dean yelled. You didn't say anything. You just lied in bed and closed your eyes, tears still rolling down your face and on to the pillow. You heard someone walk in your room and sigh. You listened to whoever sighed, walk out of your room. You continued to cry until you actually fell asleep.

~~~~~~~~
You woke up with a gasp. You had dreamed of your parents death again. You started to sob. You missed your parents. You looked at your clock. It was midnight. Sam and Dean should be asleep by now. You sat on your bed and just cried. You didn't hear the knock on your door until someone opened it. You didn't have enough time to quiet your sobbing and fake being asleep. You saw a tall figure, who you assumed to be Dean because it wasn't as tall as Sam, turn on your light and walk towards you. You wiped your tears away and looked at your best friend.
"Okay, Y/N, I've had enough of your lies. Something is wrong. Tell me." Dean said. You looked away with tears still cascading down your cheeks.
"It doesn't matter, Dean." You mumbled. Dean scoffed.
"Yes, it does, Y/N! I'm worried about you! Just tell me what's wrong." He said slightly louder.
"It doesn't matter, alright! You won't care!" You yelled. Dean frowned.
"Why do you think that I won't care?" He asked. You groaned and fell back on your bed. You grabbed a pillow and covered your face with it.
"Because nobody does! Nobody cares that I'm broken!" You mumbled into the pillow.
"Y/N, I do care. So does Sam. You should have told me that you felt that way." Dean said quietly. You took the pillow away and just stared at the ceiling.
"Yesterday was the day my parents were killed. It was my fault, Dean. I got them killed. I let them die. I could have saved them, but I was such a good little soldier who listened to the orders she was given by her father. If only I hadn't listened that one time, that one time, they could still be alive. We could- we-" you couldn't finish because you started to sob. You rolled on your side, back facing Dean, and curled into a ball. You hugged your pillow and sobbed into it.
"Y/N, you should have said something. You're my best friend. I don't want you hurting." He whispered. You sat up and then threw yourself at him. He caught you and wrapped his arms around you. You cried into his shoulder. Dean rubbed your back in comfort.
"I'm always here for you, Y/N. So is Sam. Don't be afraid to come to us when you feel this way. We'll listen and try everything we can to help." He whispered. You nodded, still crying. After a while, you fell asleep in his arms. Dean lied you down and pulled the covers over you. He kissed your forehead and walked to your door. He turned off your light and then left.
