Chardre: The Inseparable

Release

The last week in the hospital flew by.

It was just the same everyday, wake up, eat, physio, relax, visit from Char and Ben.

Finally it was the last day. Charlie stayed the night last night, and he slept in the chair, his head resting on my side.

'Morning Dre'

'Morning Char, how'd u sleep?'

'Ok i guess, u?'

'Good'

'That's good, and tonight u get to sleep in a ur own bed!'

'Yeah, i cant wait.' I really couldn't, Charlie was sleeping over at my house since it was the weekend.

'But first u have to make it thru the checkups!' Ugh, y did he bring that up?

'I will make it thru easy!'

'Sure u will Dre.'

'Speaking of checkups...' mum said, just as the doctor walked in.

'Good morning all.'

'Morning' Charlie and I both said.

'Lets get started.'

He spent a couple of minutes asking me different kinds of questions, some of which i probably should've been ashamed to answer, but hes asked me those types so many times that it didn't matter anymore. after that he got my to do different types of exercises for him, to prove i could do different things.

'Ok, so, u've had enough rest now, so u can start to do different fitness things, running for example, but i advise that you don't go at it too quickly.'

'Ok' i replied, Yus! i could still run, i need to get back into shape a bit anyways.

'Otherwise, i still want you to take it easy, but i would advise tat you walk to school if u can, as long as its not too far.

'Oh, its not.' I said.

'Ok, well, ill sign the papers and u'll be free to go.'

'Yay!'

--Time Skip: 12:30, Leo's House--

I was sitting at the table, eating lunch, like any other Saturday. I felt so alive, after 2 weeks in hospital, it was nice to be home again.

After lunch, I went up to my room, with Charlie close behind me.

'What do u want to do Dre?'

'To be honest, I wanna go for a run, even if its a short one.'

'Ok, ill take you to a spot near here that we can rest at.'

'Yay, ok'

Charlies P.O.V

This was good, his mum was hoping he'd want to go out, so she and Ben could set up the surprise, welcome home party.

'U get ready, and I'll go and tell your mum that we are going out.' I said.

'Ok' As he said that he took of is short, and i couldn't help but gasp, he still had his abs, altho they were slightly less defined, just like mine, but he did have a scar from the surgery there.

I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen.

'Leo wants to go for a run, just like you thought.' I said.

'Thanks Charlie, take as long as you can, and text me when your coming back, with ur ETA'

'Ok, i will Victoria.'

I walked back up he stairs, and Leo was in his running gear.

'Ready to go?'

'Yep.'

We walked down the stairs together, and walked out the front door. I stopped to get my bearings. 'Ok, Left, u set the pace.'

He started jogging at a reasonably slow pace, and we set off.
