The Hospital

I picked up Ben's body, and hugged it, and I started to cry. The tears just flooded through. Mum pried me away from him and told me to go and get my phone and headphones from my room. I did as she said. I sit down on my bed, thinking about things.i hear the paramedics running up the stairs and go out. Without hesitating they put him on the board and rush back down to the ambulance.

They load him into the back of the ambulance and it immediately drives off. My tells me to get changed and meet her at the car in a few mins so I run back upstairs and get changed into whatever clothes I find and run back down. She was just coming out in front of me, so we lock the door and jump into the car. We drive off, while mum tells me to ring the number on the card she was given. I dial the number and put it on speaker.

A lady answers the phone and mum talks quickly with her, to find out what hospital Ben went to. As soon as we know, mum puts her foot down, going way above the speed limit, and we rush to get to the hospital. When we get there, we have no idea where to go, so we push to the front of the queue and tell them what happened.

Immediately a nurse got called and she led us to the room Ben had been put in. There were heaps of people there. I spotted 3 doctors, all trying to talk over each other. A police officer shows up, and adds to the confusion. Mum can't handle it. She suddenly screams, and everyone stops what they're doing, and shuts up. She tells everyone to work together, and some of the doctors look pissed off at her but I don't think she cares.

The police officer walks over to us, and I recognise him. He recognised me and my mother. It's Constable Bill Hady.

He starts to question us about what happens, so I tell him exactly what I know and think happened. He takes notes down, but tells me he's going to need an official statement from me soon. I agree to it. I still had the letter in my pocket, so I gave it to him. He put it into a plastic bag and wrote down where he got it from.

There's now not as much panic with the doctors, which makes me worry. One of them finally calls us and Constable hady over.

He starts talking about Ben's condition. He goes on about the wounds on his neck, and the blood loss from his arms. Finally he comes to telling us how Ben is.
