Leondre's P.O.V

The rest of the week was pretty normal. Except for the Friday afternoon.

We got let out of class, and we all met up in the quad, and headed into town.

Charlie and I lead, and the other followed. We walked to the maccas and all ordered a large slushie. It didn't take long for our orders to come through. We all went into the park and sat in one of the kids playground things. It was like a fusion of 5 or 6 balls, all hollowed out so you could sit and climb through them. We climbed to the highest one, and all sat inside. It was a pretty tight fit, but we managed it. We just started talking about all sorts of shit, I don't know how we got onto about half of it.

After talking about shit for around half an hour,Sam and aben left us. They went out and we didn't know why. We all bought they were going to have a snog or something. We continued to talk about all kinds of random shit. We managed to talk about even more weirder things, until we finally got to talking about Clay's love life and shit. We got into a really deep and serious conversation about the girl he liked. We all started of thinking up ways he could tell her, or ask her out.

As we were talking about some crazy, proposal like scenario, Ben came back.

'Hey guys...'

'Hey! Where's Sam?'

'Um...he's gone home.' Ben burst into tears. Charlie pulled his hands off my shoulder, and I scooted over to Ben. I waited for him to calm down a bit before I asked him what happened.

He started from the beginning, when they left. He said that Sam had said they needed to talk. They walked over to the trees a few metres away, where they could be concealed. Then Sam started talking about how great they were together and shit. After a while, Sam switched approach. He said that they didn't know each other well enough, and that they had rushed into things, despite them both agreeing to take things slow. Sam then told him that he thought it was best they broke up.

After that, Ben broke down into tears again. He cried on my shoulder, and every time he was just about done, he broke down again. We all decided that we should get him home, so we all walked him home.

When we got home we took him upstairs, to his room, and I sat down in the bed with him. The others said goodbye and that they would text later, and then left.

I sat on the bed next to Ben and he just cried onto my shoulder, but I didn't care, he needed the support. I hugged him tightly, and he retaliated. He couldn't stop crying.

'He...meant....so...much....to....me...he...was...the...reason...I...was...happy...now...what...am...I...?'

'Don't be like that? Ur still my brother, and he said he wanted to be friends still didn't he?'

'Yeah...but...not...boyfriends.' He broke down again and this time it hit him hard.

After consoling him for half an hour or so, mum got home, and came upstairs looking for us. She knocked on the door, and poked her head through, she saw Ben crying and I mouthed that I would explain later, she nodded and left again, presumably to make dinner.

Sure enough, about 20 minutes later she can up carrying two plates. She gave us the food and walked off. Ben was feeling a bit better, so I went after her to explain.

She was almost as heartbroken Ben for a few minutes, but then regained her composure and told me to just support him.

I stayed with him until around 10, when I said goodnight to him, although I think he was already asleep. I went into my room and almost immediately conked out.
