*Hiccup's POV*

The morning following Alva's visit, I woke up in a great mood. The sun was shining, the Terrible Terrors were singing on the rooftops, and I didn't wake up to Toothless' tongue on my face. Instead, Toothless was still sleeping on the ground beside me. Playing with Thunder yesterday must have really tired him out.

"Toothless, come on, we're already late for breakfast." I said and tried pushing Toothless' butt to lift him up. Toothless had a different idea and slid his tail under my feet, making me fall on to my side. "You useless, over grown lizard, get up." I stubbornly said and pushed open his eyelids. Toothless grunted and moved his face away. "Fine, no fish for you Mr. Grumpy Grumperson." I said and walked away without Toothless. He normally followed, but this time that was not the case.

As soon as I stepped outside, I was bombarded with viking's yelling in my face. "Calm down, everyone! One at a time!" I ordered but it didn't help. Finally, Snotlout came barging through, someone I never thought I would be thrilled to see, and got everyone else to stop talking. Little did I know, it was just so that he could scream for the whole tribe.

"Hiccup, Hookfang hasn't moved all morning! He's in such a mood lately, I don't know what has gotten into him but you need to fix it!" Snotlout yelled, getting fired up.

"I'll figure it out, Toothless is acting the same way." I reassured him. "Everyone, I will figure out what is going on with the dragons and I will fix it. Don't worry, but you will have to live with them acting this way in the meantime."

I made my way down to the Great Hall to get myself breakfast when Astrid came up beside me with Stormfly. "How did you get her moving this morning?" I asked her, shocked. I didn't expect to see any of the dragons today.

"What do you mean? She's in a great mood." Astrid smiled and gave Stormfly a scratch.

"Every other dragon on Berk seems to be in an absolutely terrible mood. I have no idea what's going on with these guys." I told her as a worn out Terrible Terror wobbled beside us but passed out on the way. I looked down and saw a note attached to the side of it. "Must be from Fishlegs." I mumbled and pulled it out.

"Hiccup, I think I have a lead on why all of the dragons aren't acting normal. Meet me south of the island." I read aloud and looked over at Astrid.

"Hop on." She said and nodded, hopping on to Stormfly. I did too and we took off until we saw Hiccup standing on the edge of Berk.
