Once the vikings reached Drakkaey, Alva noticed how fast the island deteriorated. Alva quickly hopped off of Thunder and ran to Hallgird to ask her what had happened. "Hall, how did this happen so fast?" She exclaimed, shocked at the state of her island. Not only were the dragons in a weakened state, all of the people were too. The only healthy dragons and vikings left were taking care of their loved ones.
"I don't know, first one viking came to me with an upset stomach and I walked him to our elder, Tola, and came back and before I knew it almost the entire village was infected. Dreamclaw has gotten no better either, I'm just lucky to still be doing okay." Hallgird said in a sad tone. Her eyes showing signs of concern and worry.
"How is Tola doing?" Alva asked Hall.
"I haven't checked in a while but the last time I saw, she was fine." Hall told her and went back to catering to Dreamclaw. "Are these your friends from Berk?" Hallgird asked.
"Yes, this is Fishlegs and Hiccup, they're having the same problem over there and are here to take a look at what's affecting us." Alva told her and left again. "The creature is on the north side of the island, I'll bring you."
They jumped on to the dragons again to make a short trip, finally reaching the north end of the island. "Right out there, see it?" Alva asked and pointed in it's general direction. This time, it was creating larger bubbles and more frequently, and you could catch a glimpse of it's body more often. The creature was far enough out though that you could not clearly see what colour it was, it all looked black.
"That is definitely the same thing we have on Berk. It may even be bigger, honestly." Fishlegs sighed and stared out at the ocean.
"You know, minus the giant thing not too far off your coast, this is a truly beautiful view." Hiccup said to Alva.
"I know, I used to come out here all the time before I became chief." Alva told him, watching the waves that were probably made by the creature.
"It's probably a dragon." Fishlegs chimed in. "A big one, at that. Maybe not as big as a Bewilderbeast though. I don't think two dragons of the same species, whom are very harmful to other dragons and even humans, would plop themselves down by a dragon populated with dragons and vikings and say to itself 'Hmm, this is a good spot. Let's stay here and slowly kill everyone.' So that thing had to have been put there on purpose." He continued before Hiccup stopped him.
