*Alva's POV*

A week had passed since the chief meeting before the village had calmed down enough for me to leave for a day. Ever since I released that I told Hiccup about our secret, the village has been in a frenzy trying to protect each dragon. We had enough Night Furies for each villager to have one and more.

I walked to my Night Fury's underground stable, he went there whenever I didn't have time to play with him since one of his close Night Fury friends got injured and had to stay down there. Their stables were side by side, so I took out one of the walls temporarily until the other Fury was healed. "Thunder! Where are you?" I called out to my boy. I saw his head peak out from his stable before he bounded over to me. "Hey boy, how has your morning been? I was thinking we could take a little adventure! How does that sound?" I said excitedly and scratched him around his neck. He cooed in response and went back to his stable to get his gear.

I smiled as I put on his saddle, making sure everything was comfortable for him. I put on the armour I had for flying, it was black like Thunder's scales so we could both blend in during a fight. I had my sword by my side and my black shield clung to the back of my armour. I put on my black mask and adjusted it so you could only see my blue eyes. The funny thing is, without even intentionally doing this, my eyes matched perfectly with Thunder's.

I made sure my satchel was packed full of the essentials, my map, a pencil, my compass, and plenty of extra dried fish for Thunder. I slipped one over to him before hopping on and taking off. Before I left, I went to the Grand Hall to speak to Hallgird, my mother's best friend before she passed and the woman who raised me. "You're okaying with watching the village for the day? I'm going to see Hiccup for a little bit." I asked her as I walked in with Thunder right behind me.

"Yes, dear. Go on, have some fun." She said with a smile as she stirred the large bowl of soup for the children she was watching.

"Thank you, Hall, I'll be back tonight." I said and gave her a quick hug before taking off with Thunder. My plan was to keep Thunder hidden, maybe in the woods or even in Hiccup's home if he's okay with it, meet some people from Berk, and surprise Hiccup by showing him Thunder. I knew he wanted to desperately see another Night Fury and this would be a nice surprise.

"Let's go, Thundy." Thundy was one of my many nicknames for Thunder, some of the others including Bubby, Thun, and last but not least, Tushy. Thunder wasn't a huge fan of most of the nicknames but he put up with them.

While flying over Nepenthe Island, the nerves really started to hit me. I had never been to another island before, besides for the chieftain meetings, nor had anyone ever met Thunder before besides my own tribe. I couldn't wait to see the look on Hiccup's face when he saw another Night Fury but I hoped no one else would come across him unless a battle breaks out while I'm there. Eventually, Berk would have to find out, but today is not that day.

As I landed in what seemed to be a pretty forest-filled part of Berk, I realized I had no idea where Hiccup would be and no idea how to get out of the forest. I shrugged it off for now thought and searched for a place Thunder could hide. "Calm on, bud, I think we're coming up on a good place." I said as I drew out my shield just in case. I slipped myself and my shield under another shield and two rocks. "I wonder how that got there." I said aloud but mostly just to myself before turning around. "Holy Thor, this is beautiful." I said with my mouth wide open as I saw the cove with a pond in the middle. "Think you can manage to stay here for now, Thunder?" I asked my dragon as he quickly shook his head yes with a toothless grin. "I'll be back for you later. If you hear anyone, hide and only come out again if you see it's me. You understand?" He nodded again and ran off to explore the rest of the cove.

I got out of there fairly fast and was on my way to find Hiccup again. I searched as quietly as I could while trying to go unnoticed as I knew I wouldn't be welcomed with open arms if no one knew who I was. I hid behind a forge before I spotted him with a blonde girl and a pang of jealousy ran through my body before I realized what was happing. 'No, Alva, you just met him. Do not think like that.' I said to myself. Once I saw that blonde girl walk away and it was just him coming in my direction, I walked over to him while sticking to the sides of the building.

"Psst, Hiccup. Over here." I tried to get his attention. When I realized he wasn't noticing me, I stuck my leg out just before he walked into the forge.

"What the- who did that?" Hiccup said as he fell. He shook himself off as he stood back up with the help of his Night Fury. He looked at the side of the building and saw me just as I took my mask off. "Alva! Hey, how are you?" He asked me with a smile.

"I'm great now, I had no idea how to get your attention though." I grumbled as I came out of hiding.

"You could have came in through the docks. Where did you come in by, anyways?" He asked me, clearly confused. He saw no dragon by my side and must have assumed I came in my boat.

"Yeah, not a big deal right now. Where can I take this armour off? It's not my normal armour." I said as I started to try to itch myself. It wasn't particularly comfortable when I wasn't flying and quite hot as it was head to toe black.

"Oh, yes. You can change in my house and keep it in there for now."

After I was changed, Hiccup brought me over to his friends to introduce me to them. They were all sitting in the academy with their own dragons when we entered. At first, they acted normal, but must have spotted me because they immediately bombarded Hiccup with questions. All except for the same blonde girl. "Guys, calm down. This is Alva. She's a friend from another island, she's just here to visit for the day." Hiccup tried to tell them and shut them up.

"Hiccup, why didn't you introduce us sooner? Hey babe, I'm Snotlout." A short boy with raven hair said to me as I tried to bring myself forward more.

"Hi Snotlout, I'm not interested." I said with a polite smile.

"Snotface, get out of there." The blonde girl said and pulled him back by his helmet.

"Alva, this is Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Fishlegs, and my girlfriend, Astrid." Hiccup said and introduced me to all of them. 'How wonderful, a girlfriend.' I said to myself sarcastically.

"Great to meet you all." I smiled politely at all of them.

"Oh, and their dragons." Hiccup said and pulled me over to each dragon. "Hookfang is Snotlout's, Barf and Belch are Ruff and Tuff's, Meatlug is Fishlegs, and Stormfly is Astrid's. And of course, this is Toothless." Hiccup smiled and gestured to his Night Fury.

"They all seem wonderful." I said to him.

"You don't have to say that about Snotlout over there." He reassured me.
