I flew Thunder back to the academy and made my way to the entrance, very nervously. I heard Hiccup talking to the gang about what was happening and that I was having the same problem on my island. "If they're having the same problem, why didn't she bring their chief?" Ruff asked Hiccup like it was the most obvious thing in the world to do.

"Yeah, well, she's about to explain that in a second." Hiccup said and they quieted down, waiting for me to enter again.

"Guys, this is Thunder." I said slowly and brought in my Night Fury. There was a mix of reactions, some gasped but some stood there wide-eyed. "He's my dragon. Drakkaey is full of Night Furies and I'm the chief." I continued and let everyone take in the big news.

"He's gorgeous. How long have you guys had Night Furies? How many more are there? Can I pet him?" Fishlegs asked quickly as he ran up to me.

"Longer than I can remember, there are enough for each viking living there and more, and of course you can." I answered all of his questions and gestured towards Thunder at the end, who was starting to feel more comfortable with everyone telling him how pretty he was.

"Why didn't you tell us about this earlier?" Fishlegs asked me once they had calmed down.

"I like to avoid drama on Drakkaey and if people knew we had Night Furies, there would be more than I prefer." I explained to him. "But with this issue arising, I didn't have much of a choice if I wanted your help."

Once everyone was gathered back around in a circle, we started the initial planning on how to tackle this problem. "I know this may not be what you prefer, Alva, but I think it would be best for at least Hiccup and I to have a look at what's near your island as well." Fishlegs said slowly to me.

"I suppose so. I've never really studied any other dragon species except for Night Furies." I said with a shrug. "When should I bring you guys?"

"The sooner the better, I think." Hiccup chimed in.

"And how is everyone getting there? Thunder can't carry three people." I told them both.

"Someone can ride Stormfly, we'll just have to round up any healthy dragons we have left and keep a lookout for any attack." Astrid said.

"Great, Fishlegs, take Stormfly and I'll ride with Alva." Hiccup said and began to get ready to leave.

"Wait, Hiccup I don't think I can ride any dragon other than a Gronkle!" Fishlegs said worriedly.

"Would you rather ride a Night Fury?" I asked him as I got Thunder prepared again.

"You have a point."

Once Thunder was ready and I had my flying armour back on, I got on to Thunder and Hiccup got on behind me. "Can we make a quick stop at my house so I can tell my mom and Toothless where I'm going?" Hiccup asked once we were situated.

"Of course. Fishlegs, you can stop at your house to say bye to Meatlug, we'll be stopping at Hiccup's." I yelled out to Fishlegs before I took off.

"I'll be back in two seconds." Hiccup said and ran inside.

*Hiccup's POV*

"Mom, where are you?" I yelled, running in to my house.

"What's wrong?" She asked once she appeared by the door.

"I'm going to Drakkaey for a moment with Alva, she's having the same problem over there. I won't take too long. How is Cloudjumper? I forgot to ask earlier."

"He is still doing wonderfully, sweetheart, I'll keep an eye on the island. Any other healthy dragons?" She asked me, concern in her eyes.

"So far, I only know of Cloudjumper and Stormfly, but I haven't been around the island much today. I'm just going to say goodbye to Toothless quickly." I said and ran up the stairs quickly to my room. "Hey bud, how are you feeling?" I asked and sat next to him on the floor. He lifted his head to look at me with a gummy smile but I knew he still wasn't well.

"Whatever is doing this to you, Toothless, I'll fix it, okay? Stay comfortable, I'll be back soon." I said and gave him a pet before leaving again.

When I got outside again, Alva was leaning against Thunder and scratching his neck, which Thunder was loving. I smiled at the sight but missed being able to do that with Toothless. When Alva turned around and noticed me, she must have seen how much I missed having a healthy dragon. "Hey, don't worry Hic, he'll be back to normal in no time. I promise." She said to me and jumped on Thunder, gesturing for me to join her. I got on afterwards and held on while Thunder took off into the air. We saw Fishlegs starting to get on to Stormfly when we flew by his house and waited in the air for him. Eventually, he got into the air and was both delighted and terrified, making Alva and I laugh. Once he was comfortable enough, we were on our way to Drakkaey.
