Chapter 5

Lilly

I return home at around 4:00. I had a ton of work to do. I had a few scripts to write and shoot some videos. So I called Derek, Kyle, Nata, and the sound guy to help me film. I finished one of my scripts before everyone came. When everyone arrived, we started rolling. But I was distracted by thoughts about Dom. My head was in cloud mother effin' 9.

"Lilly, Lilly, LILLY! Are you in there?"
"Wait, what?" I replied, snapping out of my daze.
"Are you ok, shamoo?" Kyle's voice filled with concern washed over me.
"I'm fine. I think I'm just tired," I fibbed.

"Have you been getting enough sleep?" Derek asked me.
"What is sleep?" I joke.
Derek gives me a look of pity. "Let's wrap up this scene, and then we can leave so you can get some rest."
"No, no, no. let's just finish the whole video right now, or else I'll feel bad afterwards if it doesn't get finished."

Then I tell myself to snap out of whatever daze I was in and get back to work.

Dom

It's been a few hours since Lilly left. I miss her so much already. Should I text her? But then I'll seem needy. You know what, let's just see if she can facetime. I call her and see if she can chat for a bit.

"Hey boo! What's up?" her excited voice greets me through the screen.
"Nothing. I just wanted to talk to you," I smiled just at the mere sound of her voice. Fuck, this girl had me so whipped.
"Wow, Dom. You're so committed," she sasses with a sarcastic eye roll added in.
I didn't have much to say to that so I proceeded with what I really wanted to say.
"I was just about to go to McDonald's and then I thought of you. Would you like me to bring you some fries? With all the sauces?"

"Really? Thank you so much. That would be great. I'm currently working on editing our collab and I'm so hungry. How much do I owe you?"
"Nothing. Don't worry about it," I smiled again.
"Thank you so much."
"No problem! See you soon!" I gave her a playful wink.
"Bye boo!"

I hop into my car and head to McDonald's to pick up Lil's fries and my food.

Lilly

Just when we finished shooting, my phone buzzes.

Dom: Here.

I rush to the front door to open it. Dom's standing there with my fries.
"Hey beautiful," he leans against my doorway.
I felt the color rush immediately to my face. "Dom!" I yell from embarrassment.
"But it's true," he shrugged.

Kyle smirks from behind.

"Kyle, I swear to god! If you don't shut up, we'll take you back to the aquarium to live with your whale friends," I threaten.

Kyle just laughs. I check to make sure Dom got everything I wanted and then I step back and hug him. He's wearing that cologne again, I thought.

"I love -, I mean, thank you so much!" I stammer out. Kyle hooting in the back didn't help matters.
"Shut up, Kyle!" I hiss.

Dom has the nerve to smirk. "It's ok. You're welcome, though. I should really get going."
"Are you sure you don't want to stay?" The words tumble out of my mouth before I could stop them.
"I mean I could," he says this while looking me up and down. Why did he have to do that?
"So what do you wanna do?" Dom shoots me a wink as soon as everyone leaves.
"What are you in the mood for?"

And with that Dom smirks, and says the unexpected...
