Percy POV:
I waded through the water of the nearby beach. Of course I realized they would follow me, however, they were being very cautious. I wondered whether they were this cautious with every target of theirs? Then a startling thought hit me. What if they knew of my powers? My past?
I shrugged off the thought, I'd just have to be extra careful, and never leave an opening to ask about the wars. I'd just break down.
I heard a step on the sand and whirled around, riptide out. The same redhead from before was there, she didn't look like she had any weapons on her, but that would be dumb. I could tell she had hidden weapons all over her, just by the way her hands drifted slightly when I shot her my infamous wolf glare.
"Perseus," She began, "I know you don't want to come with us, but if you do, we will leave you alone after."
"Hm, tempting, truly, but I'd prefer not to come with you at all. I'll make you leave me alone if I have to," I replied nonchalantly, a dangerous smile on my lips.
She sighed, "I really didn't want to have to do this Perseus."
"Percy, please, and don't you dare underestimate me because I'm a kid," Threat laced my voice as I spoke.
She subtly, or what she thought was subtly, grabbed a small knife that was hidden in her belt.
I sensed something come flying at me from behind, I swivelled and caught an arrow, then side stepped the redhead as she threw a punch at my head.
I swung my leg up and kicked her in the stomach, knocking the breath out of her, and threw my fist into her back, successfully sending her to the ground.
I went to tranquilize her with the arrow, but she grabbed my arm and got to me first.
I now realize that this is literally nothing compared to one of Thalia's electric shocks, which I've gotten pretty resistant to. I simply smiled and stuck the arrow into her back.Clint POV:
Natasha glanced over to me, I nodded to alert her to my position. I knocked a tranquilizer arrow, and aimed, ready to fire. Nat stepped out yet again, in a retry to get him to come peacefully. She seemed oddly cautious around this kid, which only confused me. He's just a kid with dangerous friends. I was banking on the fact that his friends were the dangerous ones.
It seemed Nat was trying to talk to him, but I could feel the venomous tension in the air. She visibly sighed and pulled out a knife, my
cue. I let the arrow fly.
The teen spun around and caught it, milliseconds before it hit his back. I was surprised to say the least, while stumbling down the tree, I kept a close eye on my best friend and our target.
My eye widened in shock, it actually seemed Nat was losing. To a seventeen year old kid!
He used MY arrow to knock her out. That was low kid.
I sprinted from the trees, hoping to catch him by surprise. He shifted at the last second and caught my punch, to which he returned and swept my legs out from under me while I was reeling from the blow to the groin. I felt a sharp pain in my head, I presume it was him kicking me, and the world spilled into darkness.AN: Sorry I haven't updated for a couple days. I had (and still have to a certain extent) a case of writers block. However, there will be one or more chapters up within the next two days. I'm also not very good at writing action, forgive me.
