Nico di Angelo POV:
There was a rare break in the chaos at Camp Half-Blood. After Tartarus sent a message demanding Percy, the cabin leaders had a meeting, probably the fastest one yet, and when we refused, he sent waves after waves of beasts of all kinds at the camp. Thanks to the magical barriers, they couldn't inside, but there are many weaknesses of ours and the fact that if you even stick an arm out of the barriers, you'd get mauled.
I stepped into my cabin, fully prepared for a nights rest, but there was a note on my bed that dictated otherwise.
'Nico,
The minor gods are being summoned to Olympus, therefore now I must tell you Percy Jackson has been attempting to communicate with you, but I have severed the connection because you'd be fighting his battles. My services will be limited during my time on Olympus.
I'd recommend you contact him before you no longer can.
-Iris, Goddess of the Rainbow'
It was unusual to get a note, or communication in general, with this much information from a god. Usually the reason is because of the whole 'not allowed to interfere with my demigod children's life' thing, I suppose though that this is her business, and it's like a voicemail.
I shrugged to myself and went to ask Chiron to borrow his crystal used specifically for Iris messages.
I threw a drachma into the newly formed rainbow and said the prayer, but it simply fell.
I tried again, same result. Strange.
I didn't want to leave camp, the last thing I want to do is lead monsters to him, but if he doesn't know what's going on at camp and has been frantically trying to find out, I suppose I really should go see him. If it were anyone else, they would've been mobbed as soon as they stepped outside by the wall of monsters surrounding camp, luckily I was not anyone else and simply shadow travelled.
I didn't know where Percy could possibly be, assuming he got Rachel's note, however, I could go straight to Paul.Paul POV:
It's been a while since the eyepatch guy came in, but I've received nothing, news, releasements, or otherwise.
I was currently sitting in the same chair, staring off into space, when someone snapped their fingers, scaring the daylights out of me.
Weird, I didn't hear anyone come in. I turned around and saw the one and only son of Hades, still half-formed and pulling the shadow from underneath the table.
The way the darkness crept around him and solidifies was still new to me, and never ceased to creep me out.
"Paul, where is Percy, I need to talk to him," Nico rushed, pulling me from my thoughts. He then paused, and looked around.
"Wait, were are we?"
"Nico you need to leave," I said quickly, hoping whoever these people are don't notice him, "This is a government facility, they have a case on Percy, calling him a terrorist,"
Nico looked confused, then a small smirk appeared.
"Are they mortal?"
"I think so,"
"Then why should I be scared?"
"Well you don't want them to know about you, do you?"
He sighed, "I guess not, it looks like I just appeared from under the table right?"
I gave a small nod and he spoke again,
"Either way, do you know where Percy might be? Even a select area, anything,"
I sighed this time, "Sorry Nico, they might be listening and I couldn't. Can't you use the rainbow?"
"She's cut off right now," he said, shaking head, disappointment etched on his face, "I'll find something I guess, thanks anyway," before he crouched down and slid under the table again.
A small pang of loss hit me, and I thought about the rationality of it. There's an extremely high chance that our conversation was recorded in some way, so I couldn't ask him about how the camp was doing, or tell him where Percy was. As for release, as boring as it is here, assuming these people are mortals like me, this is the safest place to be right now.
