Chapter 24

Percy POV:
Their mouths agape, the two men in front of me did not move. They sat rigid like I had a knife pressed to their throats.
I sat back in my chair, and realized that I actually did have a weapon on them. Mind you it wasn't visible, I was slowly freezing the water in their bodies without realizing it. Damn it, I still had to gain full control over that. After Annabeth, a tear threatened to puncture my cold gaze at her name, I had embraced the full potential of my powers over liquid, afterall I had nothing left to loose.
I relased my hold over them, and they slumbed down, to which Dr.Banner had the common sense to adopt a weary look, and stand down. Tony however was a different story.
He jumped out of his chair and began hounding me with questions, "What was that? Where did it come from? Was it godly magic like Thor's?"
It took all my effort not to knock him out then.
"Will you shut up?" I snarled softly, then felt a presence across the wall, like someone was staring through it. A burst of magic spread through the room, as if someone had just appeared.
I jumped from my chair, and pushed the table in front of the door.
"Perseus, is everything okay?" Dr.Banner asked with a note of fear to his voice.
"No. Absolutely not." With most of the gods locked away on Olympus, the only people it could be were Hermes, Apollo, Nico, or a god on Tartarus's side.
Honestly, I didn't know which I was hoping for.  My friends could be in danger, but I under no circumstances wanted to go to Tartarus again.

Bruce POV:
That was magic. There was no denying Percy had godly powers, although he never actually denied it.
And now with a table blocking the exit, and the security cameras switched off, Tony and I were effectively trapped. With no Ironman suit, Tony wasn't much help, and the last thing I want to do is hulk out in a facility full of people, my co-workers and friends no less.
Things seemed to be going a million miles an hour, leaving me with no time to evaluate the current situation and act effectively. Which is what I needed to do if I didn't want to endanger everyone. And Tony wasn't helping.
He was spouting rapid-fire questions at the boy, and I could see it was aggravating him.
I yanked Tony down into his seat, and spoke softly to him, Percy now pacing the room and out of earshot.
"Tony don't aggravate the kid who can rip you apart with half a thought, hm? Your cocky I-can-kill-you-now act won't do any good."
I didn't let him reply as I leaned back into my chair and delved into my thoughts.
What happened?
First, we were trying to get him to calm down, then Tony said something threatening and the kid set off. The temprature seemed to drop fifty degrees and counting, but Percy seemed fine.
Second, he switched demeanors in an instant and shut us in the room. But why? What use would it give him? Ransom? He would've announced it by now and wouldn't be pacing with such anxiety on his face. There was no reason to keep us in, so maybe, he needed to keep someone out?
I stood and walked over to Percy, who had stopped his pacing and spoke, "Who's the threat?"
He stared, as if into my soul, and after a moment, he replied.
"I'm not sure, but I felt a god and that can't be good."
"Why not?"
"All the good gods should be either far away from here, or hiding."
That confused me, one or two gods trying to hide I understood, but all of them?
"Percy, why would all the gods be hiding?"
He turned his head to the wall on his right, the inside wall, his eyes moving along it, as if watching something, and didn't respond.

AN: Just a notification, there is a very low chance of an update tonight (which would be the second of the week.) I was bombarded with school projects unfortunately. Currently I only have a half-finished chapter that will be finished and published as soon as possible!
